Karylla quickly averted gaze when she once again caught herself watching Elisha before the latter sense her attention and in return causing Soleil to sense his mate's discomfort. She was observing her ways with Soleil; on how she treated him and on how she value him as her mate as well as the ways that Soleil act with her.
She wanted to tell him about her encounter with the demon but her fear of his anger and rejection stops her.
There was no doubt in here mind that Soleil would truly cause her some bodily harm once he learn about it and worst she will lose whatever connection she have with him. His hatred was worse than the possibility death that the demon had over her head. She already saw the protectiveness of Soleil over his mate and the extent of what he was willing to do for Elisha particularly to the point of accepting another male, a demon to be exact in their relationship.
Regret gripped her chest when she saw the way Soleil hover over his mate. Every nuance and movement of his body around hers were unconsciously done in a very protective manner as if he was instinctively shielding her from any harm, and he couldn't seem to stop himself from touching her.
And Elisha mirrored his gestures, leaning close to him whenever he curve his body around her or smiling with pleasure whenever he touched her.
It was really beautiful to watch, like they were both dancing in harmony of the tune that only their souls could hear.If Fate were on her side she would've been on Elisha's place and the receiving end of Soleil's affection but sadly, she can't have everything that she wanted how hard she wished it.
No.. She already lost Soleil to his mate. She couldn't bear to lose his friendship and trust as well.
She couldn't find any fault in Elisha except on her coercion with the demon, Thallan.Karylla once again sneaked a look on the pair as they snuggled in an armchair by the window, both were soaking up the early morning sun, and content on that small fraction of peace that they shared before the chaos of Ragnarok would catch up on all of them.
She then went up to her borrowed room, grieving for her lost chance in love and in mate.

Fuxal stalked angrily through the halls of the Pleasure Palace, passing all sorts of creatures who seeks the lascivious nature of the place and all of them steered clear from him. They probably sensed his dark mood and cleverly stay out of his way.
He was summoned. He was fuckingly summoned like a wayward child by his father.
His maker, his father always urged him to join the power play of Ragnarok, something that he truly detested ever since he was powerful enough to be included in the fight yet his father never stop pestering him to join in the fray.
I would like to see an offspring of my blood become a High-king. He would often said, annoying Fuxal to no end. If not for his mother, he would never answer his father's summons.
He passed an open doorway and did a double-take when he caught a glimpse of someone familiar.
Fuxal went back, his eyebrow quirking when he saw a bored looking Thallan sitting in an armchair with someone -a female between his legs who was bobbing her head enthusiastically as she worked to get his interest but by the far away gaze that Thallan was sporting on his face -she was failing miserably at her job."Thallan." Fuxal slurred as he glided inside the room and sat opposite Thallan's seat, unabashed by the lewd act infront of him.
"What do you want, Fuxal? I'm not in the mood."
"I can see that." Fuxal sneered, chortling loudly when Thallan tapped the female, a succubus to stop whatever she was doing and gestured her to leave.
"Don't go too far, Sweetness. I might need your services later on." Fuxal called out and the succubus shot him a sultry look before she exited the room.
"So you're here? Elisha throw you out again?" Fuxal chuckled but sobered out when he saw the seriousness in Thallan's face.
"What now, Thallan? What have you done again that you left her all alone when Ragnarok was spreading its chaos everywhere."
"She's not alone. She got her mate with her."
"Her.. her.. Elisha's what?!" Fuxal spluttered, his anger now a thing of the past as his interest was piqued by what he just heard.
" Her mate. A frickin' Fomorian." Thallan spat out, clearly pissed off.
"Wow.. Trust Elisha to pick a mate as unique as she is. So the mate throw you out then?"
"No. Elisha did. Never knew she could get as angry as she had been when she threw me out. "
"An indecent proposal that I'll kill her mate for her. I meant to be a joke but she took it harshly. It's as if I can kill that fucking Fomorian of hers with just a flick of my finger. He can kill me instead, that Fomorian hunted demons for fun."
"Well Thallan that joke was the stupidest thing that someone as stupid as you could do. I outlived 3 of my mates and threatening to kill one was a sure way to sign your own death warrant. So you also told her that you killed your pretender mate?"
