RECAP:
“Although I must say that you seem to draw the best out of that particular demon and that’s not a small feat to accomplish.” And after that Gabriel disappeared in the same manner as Emily does.
“Bless you… A gift for you..” Elisha heard Gabriel’s whispers at the same time that a gold-tipped feather floated towards her.
She immediately grasped it and an overwhelming sense of calm and peace settle on her. The feather felt warm on her palm and it still possess an unworldly glow.
Elisha then reverently placed it atop of her mother’s sarcophagus before she faced Thallan’s shadow that moved out of the shadow the moment that Gabriel left.
“So I guess it will be you and me here.” Elisha said and she wanted to laugh at herself from talking to a shadow.
“No. It will be you and me.” Elisha visibly jumped at the unexpected voice and saw Illia standing at the threshold of the door, smiling evilly at her.
“You and me..” A sense of foreboding filled Elisha at Illia’s words.
*************
Illia smiled widely when the presence of the Archangel disappeared. Her time has come and she will savor every moment of it while Thallan was busy and Elisha was left unprotected.
Throwing her cloak towards the building, she watched with evident glee as it expanded and covered the whole building like a transparent plastic. This will stop anyone from the outside to sense anything from the inside of the mausoleum and vice versa.
Foreboding and a frightening aura emitted from the mausoleum, and Illia beamed proudly at her own creation. No one will disturb them. Human and Magicfolk will neither dare come close nor enter the premises of the building because their instinct will tell them to run away.
She stepped inside and shivered when she met the Archangel’s lingering presence but she knows that only Elisha remains inside the building. Nothing will stop me now.
She found her having a one-sided conversation with Thallan’s Shadow and her smile dropped. It seems that her mate truly put her safety in his mind when he left her and that blatant fact angers her more.
“No. It will be you and me.” Illia interjected and she watched a sudden fear crossed across the mortal’s face. Yes, fear me.
“Illia.” Elisha breathed out warily as she eyed Thallan’s mate with caution. She couldn’t shake of the sense of foreboding that she felt the moment that Illia appeared and it sends her on edge.
“Elisha.” Illia whispered to her in a sickeningly sweet tone.
“What are you doing here?” Elisha asked and her head whipped when she caught a movement on her side, and she saw Thallan’s shadow moving near her.
