Thallan's fists clenched and unclenched as when the sound of Elisha's screams reach him from the room just opposite theirs. The sound resembles those of the sound made by a wounded animal and it made him want to kill something or someone.
The magnitude of her nightmares had escalated as nights went by and tonight was worse than the previous ones, her fear was clearly tangible in the air that as an incubus he can actually hold it in his hands and it had a substantial amount of power that he can easily absorb to replenish his own yet the first time he tried to feed on it left a bitter taste in his mouth, and it probably the last time he will ever try to consume Elisha’s fear.
"Thallan." Thallan heard his name being called out and without thinking, he strode out of his room towards where Elisha is but stopped himself short when he realize his unconscious intent. He warred between barging through the door to comfort Elisha, resulting for the truce between him and the Fomorian to dissolve or upholding their agreement with the Fomorian by staying out of their business.

"Elisha." Soleil's voice broke through the fog of her nightmare and Elisha felt a spark of strength at the thought that her mate is nearby and that whatever happens to her Soleil will always be there for her. He won't let anything happen to her and she knew that he will always pull her out of the darkness.
"Come back to me, mate." Elisha latched on the source of the voice and watched in relief as the image of Triaru slowly vanished infront of her but the evident anger on his face didn’t escape her before he dissolve into nothing.
"Mate. . . Elisha. ."
Elisha woke up gasping for air and saw Soleil leaning down atop of her, his long hair unbound around his face down to her like a silver curtain as if it was shielding her from the outside world.
She cried something indistinct before pulling him down to her, her embrace so tight that a normal human can easily choke or strangled by it. "Don’t die on me.. Don’t leave me, Soleil."
"Shhhh.. I would never leave you. Only death could separate us apart. "
But instead of relief it was fear that Elisha felt at Soleil's statement. Unease crawl on her body as she tighten her hold on her mate. His words were like an omen of what is to come.
"No.. no! Promise me that you won't die on me. Promise me that you won't die, Soleil." Elisha cried hysterically as she clung tightly to him. The image of his mangled, lifeless body is still fresh on her mind.
"I promise. We will have a very long time ahead of us, Mate. I promise that I will never die and leave you alone."
Elisha calmed a bit but she continue to embrace him down on her. She was comforting herself with her mate's familiar weight in her when she heard the door of their room open.
Soleil went rigid at the same time that she saw Thallan standing on the open doorway.
"What are you doing here?" Soleil scowled as he propped himself on his elbow to glare balefully at him.
