RECAP:

Unable to sleep again, Elisha lay back on the bed to stare at the ceiling and wonder what had become if Thallan after Soleil took her away from the mausoleum.

She's afraid to call him, fearing what will happen if her mate and Thallan encounter each other.

She was sure that it will be disastrous for three of them especially because of the innate possessiveness of both men. She was just hoping that it will not come to a fight that might kill one of them.

A loud crash from downstairs made her bolt up from the bed.

"Is he trying to demolish my kitchen?" Elisha murmured to herself, referring to Soleil’s lack if use in the kitchen. Then another crash followed the first one, then another and then another but a loud roar made her stumble out of the bed and down the two set of stair with nothing but a thin bedsheet to cover her nudity.

She came to a staggering halt at the foot of the staircase when she saw her greatest fear unfold before her eyes.

No. Elisha whispered wordlessly as she saw Thallan and Soleil circling one another in the middle of the wrecked living room.

*************

Thallan’s black tattoos stood out in contrast of his tanned skin as it snaked around his body and emits a pulsing glow that pronounced that he was battle ready, and armed with clenching clawed fists and elongated fangs he was a real image of Hell’s Demon.

Elisha had seen Thallan’s true form a few times before but the shock of it will never wore down especially the redness of his eyes and the black webs of throbbing veins running from the side of his eyes towards his head as well as the black paint-like color of his arms that started as ink-black on his fingers and transitioning into a shadowlike black to his elbows, in which Thallan had once informed her came from his constant use of Black Fire; the very reason why he was almost immune to its poison.

And his hair was now streaked with red, a mark of his Devil heritage.

While Elisha was taken aback by the change in Soleil, she still haven’t seen the part of him that makes him a feared creature of the olden times but now she wished that she didn’t because her silver warrior turned into a black one.

Those silver eyes that had mesmerized her in more times that she can count on were now dark orbs of blackest black, they were cold and detached as he glared at Thallan with so much hatred the Elisha’s stomach turn at the sensation of it.

The blue crescent on his forehead was now as dark as his eyes, and swirls and webs of intricate tattoo formed on his forehead like an ebony circlet with the crescent on its very center.

And the one thing that had changed in Soleil that affected Elisha the most is his hair because its new state completed his dark warrior persona as its black strands hung loose and wild on his back, and for the first time since she met him from her dreams, she fears him. Not because of the changes in him but on the dark aura that was emphasized by his new form and since they were bound by their connection as Soulmates, she can feel his darkness pulsating on her system making it hard for her to breathe as if the darkness was squeezing her heart.
