RECAP:
Thallan.. Where are you?
Elisha’s frantic summons froze me as my hold on the spear tightens until the heavy wood splinters in my hand.
What now!? I growled inwardly.
Throwing the remains of the spear away, I'm on the act of transporting myself to wherever Elisha is but a burning pain on my side halted me.
Looking down on the source of the pain, I grasped at the tip of the spear embedded on my flesh with the rest of it still quivering behind me at the impact. The shit hurts like Hell!
“Never ever turn your back to a demon –Incubus!” I turned around just in time to see Sven conjuring another spear out of thin air.
Baring my fangs on his arrogant face, I tightly grasped the handle of the spear protruding on my back and broke it off before I pulled the rest of it out of my body without flinching.
The need to find Elisha overshadows the slowly fading pain made by the weapon and eventhough the wound will heal slower than usual, the pain is tolerable.
Glaring at him, he easily dodged the broken spear when I flicked it back at him but I sneered with delight when his eyes widens at the next heartbeat that he found me standing infront of him, and on that same instance I found the clue of how he managed to create those spears.
“Interesting..” My hand shot towards his neck, razor claws embedding on his flesh as I anchored them deeply, preventing him from moving away.
He might be an incubus just like me but compare to my age and experience, he’s little more than a newborn cub and having such ability is something that someone like him can’t have without some sort of ‘cheating’.
And now I know that he is truly ‘cheating’ because of his eyes; the usual purple typical of incubi were present on his left eye but the right one is another story.
“You made a deal with a Warlock..” I stated, noting how his right red eyes bearing the mark of his Warlock dilates and contracts; the warlock can see what Sven can see and what he’s doing.
So this is how this youngling managed to do such impossible feat.
I want to meet this Warlock soon…
*************
With my previous concern to Elisha forgotten with my quest for power, I tighten my hold on Sven’s neck and shook him like a rag doll.
“Unhand me!” Sven tried to wiggle himself free but it only made me grasped him tighter and when he resorted to conjuring a spear and stabbing me with it; I proceed on throwing him down before pinning him by the neck with my feet.
“I will never believe that something like you could make such impossible feat without an outside help. A Warlock, Sven? They are rare nowadays? So where is he?” I asked him, toying with the idea that I could think of unlimited ways to urge him to speak even if he refused to divulge where the warlock is staying.
