get ready for some second hand embarrassment people

Travis' POV

"So how's Taylor?" Patrick asked as we sat down with our drinks, the table full of the everyone's conversations.

"She's good." I nodded, running a hand through my hair. "Still recovering."

Taylor had moved in with me now that the Eras Tour had ended, and we were settling into the newest chapter of our lives together. She was having a little break before she got back into it, and I'd asked her if she wanted to come out for dinner with us tonight, but she'd declined. For now she was just resting. I knew she needed some time alone.

"Well when she's better we should do something." Brittany said. "I haven't seen her in a while."

"Yeah." I nodded. "She'd like that."

I knew everyone missed Taylor, since she'd really gotten along great with my friends since meeting them. Sometimes I thought they liked her more than me, and we always joked about it.

It was nice to catch up with everyone over dinner, and we had multiple conversations over each other. It was a lot of fun.

Just past eight, I felt my phone buzz in my pocket and sat back, reaching for it just in case Taylor needed something. But when I unlocked my phone, I saw that it was just an Instagram live notification. I was about to swipe it away before I glanced at the account and blinked, frowning.

@taylorswift is live

Taylor was live? I didn't think she ever did lives, but maybe something had changed. She hadn't mentioned anything to me, so I wasn't sure. She'd always let me know.

Confused, I clicked on the notification and opened up the live. Taylor was in the kitchen, her phone stood up somewhere on the kitchen island as she leaned on the edge of the counter, mid giggle at something, maybe a comment. The view count shot up into the hundreds of thousands as I watched, and Taylor lifted her head, smiling at the camera.

I could immediately tell that she was drunk. I knew the cheeky smile on her face like the back of my hand, the ditzy grin, the slightly messy hair. Taylor wasn't tipsy. She was drunk. And she'd gone live. Jesus Christ.

"I am not telling you that." Taylor giggled, shaking her head at her phone as she bit down on her wide smile. "That's a secret." She winked and then read another comment. "No." She pretended to pout. "He's out right now. I'm all alone." Taylor sighed dramatically and then giggled.

"Is that Taylor?" Brittany asked, looking over.

"Yeah." I tilted my phone to show her. "She's wasted. I don't think she's meant to be live right now."

"Well no shit, look at her." Brittany giggled. "You should probably go home and stop her before she says or does something she's not supposed to."

"That's probably a good idea." I nodded, taking some cash out of my wallet and handing it to her. "For dinner." Then I rushed off before Brittany could protest, typing on my phone as I did so. I hoped I could make Taylor log off as soon as possible since she had a loose tongue when she was drunk.

@killatrav: Taylor, baby girl

"Hi!" Taylor giggled when she saw my comment. "Hi Travis baby! What are you doing? I thought you were out for dinner!"

Comments started flooding in for me, her, asking all sorts of questions as I got into my car, still typing. Taylor was going to say something she shouldn't soon, I'd bet my life on it. She was cute when she was drunk, but not on live with hundreds of thousands of people.
