"Are you sure you want to do this? We can always go home and watch some movies instead." You told Nayeon upon feeling her hand shake a little as she stared ahead at the haunted house.

You could tell she was nervous and she didn't want to go inside but it was Halloween and she wanted to go and do something fun with you, the first thing coming to mind being a haunted house.

"No, I'm good. I'm not that scared."

You shook your head with a smile.

"If you say so, baby,"

You took a couple of steps forward as she clutched your shirt tightly with her fingers.

"You're going to tear my shirt and we haven't even gone in yet."

"I'll be fine! Really, I will." She said as she tried to brave the scary Halloween attraction. "But before we go in can you hold my hand? Please?"

"No please necessary, Nay," You smiled and then began to make your way into the haunted house.

A whine left her lips as she walked hand in hand with you, taking slow steps and looking from side to side quickly as you walked by everything together.

After taking just a few steps in, a guy with a fake chainsaw stepped out from behind a curtain and Nayeon let out a scream.

"No!" She whined before cuddling up to you.

"Oh, my baby," You giggled and squeezed her hand a little tighter.

"I don't like this."

"Then why did you want to come here?" You wondered.

"I know you enjoy stuff like this so I thought we'd have fun."

Just as she finished saying that, a girl with long hair covering her face came out and screamed at Nayeon, making her scream even louder.

"Stop it, stop it!"

"Baby, we could've had just as much fun watching a movie together. We could've even turned something scary on at home. You probably would've been startled by some of it but at least we would be in the comfort of our home and you could snuggle up to me under a blanket."

"That sounds much better than this." She said before yelling as a clown stepped in front of you. "I don't like it."

She threw her arms around you and buried her face in your shirt as you laughed and held her tight.

"It's okay, Nayeon, it's okay. We're almost done."

"Can we just hurry through it? I want to get out of here."

"Sure, baby. Come on."

You took her hand back into yours and walked in front of her to shield her from any more jump scares, which there were quite a few of.

One guy was dressed up as ghostface from scream, one guy with a fake axe, and a girl dressed up as a puppet.

Nayeon held your hand tighter than ever, so tight you thought she might break the bone.

She yelled in fear and hurried past each scary person that popped out as you hurried through the scary Halloween attraction until you saw the light coming from outside and rushed out.

Once you were outside, she hugged you tight and trembled slightly in your arms.

"That was horrible."

She pulled away after a few seconds with a breath of relief.

"Were you scared?"

"Not really." You confessed. "I kinda like scary stuff."

"I hate it. Can we go home?"

"Sure, my love," You smiled and kissed her lips sweetly before taking the car keys out of your pocket. "How about we go home and pass out candy? Trick or treating is still going on."

"That sounds so much better than this."

You laughed and kissed her hand as you walked to the car together while Nayeon swore she'd never set foot in another haunted house again.
