the first time she stays the night

Nayeon lifted her head from her lap and sat up beside you as the credits of the movie started to roll. You finally had the chance to spend the day together and from early this morning all the way till now, almost eleven at night, you've spent every minute by her side. With cozy movies and cozy cuddles, you felt happier than you have in a long while.

But now it was getting late and Nayeon needs to get going before it gets too late. She looked sad as she glanced over at you and then planted a lingering kiss on your cheek.

"I should get going, baby." She said as she stood up and walked to the door, where she'd kicked off her shoes hours ago when she first arrived. You felt a pang of sadness as you watched her get ready to go.

You've been together a couple of months now and she's left at this time a few times before. But tonight feels different. The lack of quality time together is starting to take a toll on you and you want her to stay.

You quickly got up and as she slid her first shoe on, you hugged her from behind. She chuckled happily and leaned against you with her head on your shoulder.

"Don't go." You mumbled sadly as you buried your face in her neck.

"Baby, I would stay longer but it's getting late and I'm getting a little sleepy."

"Then stay here!" You suggested and the right shoe in her hand suddenly slipped out as she turned around. You could see a glimmer of hope in her eyes before they lit up and she pulled you close.

"You're sure?"

"I'm sure I don't want you to go. I've missed you. Besides, you've got tomorrow off, too. You were just gonna come back over, so you should just stay here... with me."

She looped her arms around your neck with a smile.

"I'd love to."

You watched her kick off the shoe on her left foot and watched it land by her other one before you took her hand. You turned the tv off and then the lights before leading her up the stairs to your room.

She's been in here a few times before. You've shown her around and even watched a few films in here before. But it was different this time as she walked inside. This time, she wasn't leaving your side and she was happy about that.

"So, make yourself comfortable however you need to. Fix the pillows or the blankets. If you need more let me know. I'm gonna change and then I'll join you."

She nodded happily and let her lips linger on yours for a moment when you kissed her. She fell onto your bed as you walked into the bathroom and closed the door behind you. It was so cozy and warm.

She heard you in the bathroom, humming to yourself before it got drowned out by the water running in the sink and then the toothpaste in your mouth. She was ready to lay back and cover up with your cozy blankets, but something on the chair by your window caught her eye.

Your hoodie!

She quickly got out of bed and went over to grab it. Knowing it was warm and that your smell lingered on it, she quickly shrugged off her sweater and pulled your hoodie over her head. She crawled back into bed and fixed the pillows the way she wanted before she grabbed the blanket.

Just as she went to cover up, you walked out of the bathroom. You turned the light off and looked over at her. Finding that she was wearing your hoodie made your heart skip beat after beat in your chest, filling your stomach with butterflies.

"You're so cute."

She giggled and watched you crawl under the covers beside her.

"You told me to make myself comfortable. So, I did."

Her eyes were starry and her smile bright. Reaching your hand out to caress her cheek, you couldn't help but stare at her. In your eyes, she's the most beautiful girl in the world and you know there's not a thing you wouldn't do for her.

"You're amazing."

"You are, baby." She whispered back to you before wrapping her fingers around your hand and tilting her face to pepper kisses across your wrist. "Thank you for letting me stay."

"I'm happy to let you stay anytime, Nayeon. My bed feels warmer with you here with me. I could get used to it."

She smiled to herself as you scooted closer to her and dropped your head onto her chest.

"I could too." She replied before kissing your head a few times. "Try to sleep. We have tomorrow together too. When you wake up, I'll still be right here with you."

"I love knowing that." You mumbled as you began to drift off to sleep.

You felt the covers be placed over you and then felt her arms wrap securely around you. Her lips buried in your hair and her hand brushed along your back in circles. She stared down at you, feeling as though she was the luckiest woman in the world.

She knew that she could get used to this, too.
