teaching her some Filipino words (requested)

"Baby?" Nayeon said as she sat down beside you on the sofa.

"Yes?"

"I was wondering something. Would you be willing to teach me some Filipino words since we're going to visit your parents next week?" She asked.

"Of course." You grinned as you grabbed the remote to turn the tv off.

You were more than happy to teach her some words from your language.

It means a lot to you to know that she has an interest in learning it, just as you did when she offered to teach you Korean.

"Do you know Filipino words? It's okay if you don't."

"I know hello. Which is Kamusta, right?"

"Correct." You said with a proud smile. "Okay, how about water?"

She shook her head, wordlessly telling you that she didn't know that one.

"Okay. It's Tubig."

"Tubig." She repeated.

"Correct. Good job!" You said before kissing her on the cheek, making her smile brightly.

"Okay. Let's try eat. It's Kumain."

"Kumain?"

"Yes." You said before giving her a quick high-five. "You're doing great, Nay! Okay, try this one. Mahal kita."

"Mahal kita." She repeated. "Did I say it right?"

"Yes, you did, baby." You smiled.

"What's it mean?"

"I love you."

You watched her eyes light up before she took your hand and brought it to her lips fo a soft kiss.

"Mahal Kita, Y/N."

You repeated the words back to her and watched her smile from ear to ear.

"That's my favorite so far."

"Mine too." You happily spoke.

"Okay. Try salamat."

"Salamat." She repeated. "It means?"

"Thank you."

"How do you say you're welcome?"

"Walang anuman."

"Walang anuman." She said before she hugged you. "I'm learning it!"

"You are, baby. Great job." You said before clapping your hands, making her giggle. "Thank you for teaching me, baby."

"Walang anuman."

She kissed your lips softly before leaning her head on your shoulder, ready to learn some more with you.
