"Baby? I'm home!" Nayeon called out as she stepped into your shared house.

She was kicking off her shoes when she saw you exit the kitchen and walk over to her.

She lifted her head as soon and watched you hold your hand out for her to take.

"What's going on?"

"I have a surprise for you."

She took your hand and you led her out of the living room and into the kitchen, where she was met with a beautiful and romantic sight.

You had made dinner for you both and the room was decorated with candles and flower petals.

"I got you these." You said before handing her a bouquet of her favorite flowers.

"Oh, baby, I love them!"

"I wanted to make this day special. It's our third anniversary and I know you had a long day so I wanted to surprise you with something special. So I made dinner, and dessert, got you flowers, and tried to make everything as romantic and perfect as I could."

"I love it so much." She spoke softly. "This is beautiful, Y/N. Thank you."

"No need to thank me, baby. Happy anniversary."

You kissed her cheek lovingly and watched her eyes sparkle before you took her hand and led her over to a chair at the table.

She scooted her chair in and stared at the delicious meal on her plate.

"I can't believe you did all of this. The food smells amazing, baby,"

"Thank you." You proudly said. "I hope you enjoy it."

She didn't waste another second before she dug into the food.

Her stomach had been grumbling for the last little while and she was so hungry that she couldn't resist any longer.

"It's so good," She hummed. "Baby, you outdid yourself."

You sent her a warm smile as you began to eat too.

It didn't take long for Nayeon to clean her plate.

You finished a few minutes after as she stared at you from across the table with a smile that was as bright as the look in her eyes.

"Before we eat dessert," You said as you got up from the table.

You went over to the counter and opened one of the drawers, where you had put Nayeon's gift.

"Open this."

You put the velvet box on the table in front of her and she gasped when she opened it to find a beautiful necklace inside.

"Oh, it's gorgeous." She spoke in awe.

It was a double heart necklace with a heartbeat pendant inside of the second heart and Nayeon melted over how thoughtful and sweet it was.

"I know we agreed that we shouldn't go all out for gifts this year but I couldn't help myself. I saw this and I just knew I had to get it for you."

You helped her put it on before you kissed her soft, delicate skin.

"I didn't get you anything as special as this because I thought we weren't doing much. I'm sorry."

"No, don't be. Nay, I just wanted to do something special for you. Whatever you got me, I'll love. I don't need you to buy me the world when I have you."

She smiled and pulled you in for a kiss.

"I just wanted to do this for you. Because I love you."

"I love you too." She spoke and intertwined her fingers with yours. "I can't believe it's been three years that we've been together now. I never thought I'd ever love someone as much as I love you. You're the best thing that has ever happened to me."

"I feel the same way about you, baby. Three years down, an entire lifetime to go."

She kissed you again, feeling her heart swell at the thought of an entire lifetime still being ahead of you both.

It was going to be so incredible.

"Should we have dessert now?"

"Yeah." She said as she brushed her fingertips along your skin.

You got up and went into the kitchen to grab some dessert for you both and when you returned and put the plate in front of her, Nayeon's stomach began to growl again.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome." You replied, kissing her head softly.

"Not just for this, baby. For everything." She spoke. "This is the perfect anniversary, baby. I'm so in love with you."

"I'm so in love with you too."

She kissed your shoulder as she pulled you onto her lap.

"Eat your dessert right here with me." She said. "I just want to hold you."

"Okay." You smiled and leaned back against her as she held you tight, knowing that this was all she ever wanted for the rest of her life.

And she couldn't wait to see what the next year held for the both of you.
