"Where are we going? Why won't you let me look?" Nayeon giggled as you walked behind her with your hands covering her eyes.

"I told you, it's a surprise!" You said and tried to hide how nervous you truly felt as you led her down the path in the park together.

You had it all planned out. You've tried to think of ways to pop the question to Nayeon for days and finally, you thought of one you knew she'd love.

A picnic in the park seemed so innocent. There wasn't anyone around you, so it made you feel better about proposing this evening.

The sun was just starting to set, the birds were singing, and despite your nerves, you were in a bright mood just like Nayeon.

"Okay. You can look..." you paused and put the blanket on the ground before setting the basket on there. "Now!"

You uncovered her eyes and she let out a soft gasp when she noticed what you had planned.

"Surprise," you smiled and she pulled you into her arms for a big hug, which you happily melted into. "I figured we'd have a little picnic and watch the sunset together."

"I'd absolutely love that." She said before she sent you that sweet bunny smile and leaned in to give you a little kiss.

She sat down on the blanket and you did the same. You opened the basket and pulled out a bouquet of her favorite flowers before setting it on her lap.

"Oh, baby," she smiled as her heart melted over the sweetness and thoughtfulness of this cute little picnic.

She doesn't get times like these very often. To watch the sunrise or the sunset, to sit in a park and listen to the birds sing as you talked about anything and everything together and enjoyed some good food. It was an indescribable feeling of happiness that she felt.

"I might've gone overboard with the food, but I wanted you to have a chance to really enjoy yourself." You said as you pulled out different foods, like some sandwiches and slices of bread with some spreads, and some sweet desserts for later, maybe in celebration.

You also pulled out some refreshing drinks and she instantly grabbed one to take a few sips of it.

"It all looks so good. This is so thoughtful and meaningful, baby." She said and reached over to take your hand into hers.

"I just want this evening to be perfect."

"Every minute I spend with you is perfect, y/n."

You nodded and let out a shaky breath, wondering if you should jump to your speech right now or wait until after. One of your hands rested on your lap with the ring in it with the other in Nayeon's. It started to shake a little as your nerves returned.

"Hey," she whispered softly and let your hand go so she could cup your cheek. "You're shaking. You seem so nervous. Why, baby? What's going on?"

You stared down at your lap and bit your lip before looking back up at her.

"Just thinking is all. I've been trying to find the right time, the perfect moment to ask you something that's been on my mind for days. I'm just overthinking it."

"What are you talking about?" She questioned as she softly stroked your cheek. "You know you can ask me anything. Tell me what's on your mind."

You looked back at her and saw that she was already staring at you. Her eyes looked so soft, so full of love for you. You wanted nothing more than to gaze into them for as long as you may live.

Now is the time.

"I love you." You spoke softly as you took her hand again.

"I love you too, sweet girl." She smiled and brought your hand to her lips for a soft kiss.

"We've been together five years now. We've talked about our future a lot together and you always say how I'm the only one you want to be with forever. The only one you want to grow old with and maybe have a family with. You know that's all I want too. You know that I want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life by your side."

She felt her heart racing. She was starting to catch on and tears began to fill her eyes at the thought.

"I don't want to wait any longer to ask you this. Because I swear that I've never loved anyone more than I love you and I've never wanted anything more than to marry you."

You pulled out the ring and she gasped when she saw it. Her eyes went wide, her heart hammering against her chest. It was stunning. She'd never seen a ring more beautiful than the one you were holding out for her now.

"Nayeon," you whispered her name as you got onto one knee on the blanket. "I love you more than anything. Marry me?"

"Yes!" She yelled excitedly, sniffling as the tears streamed down her cheeks.

She threw her arms around you and you fell onto your back, laughing through your own tears.

"I love you! I love you so much," she smiled with tears in her eyes and you stroked her soft cheek for a moment before looking down at the ring and her hand.

You wrapped your fingers around hers and slid the ring onto her finger.

"It's perfect. I love it!"

"I'm so happy you do. I'm so happy you said yes."

"Like I'd ever say no to the love of my life asking me to marry her," she spoke softly before kissing your lips. "I'm so in love with you."

"I'm so in love with you, Nayeon." You smiled back at her before pulling her in for another kiss. "Wait," you mumbled as you pulled back from her lips. "Don't you wanna call the girls?"

"In a few minutes." She said, staring deep into your eyes with her bright ones. "Let's celebrate a little more first."

She pressed her lips back onto yours and intertwined your fingers together as she poured all the love she felt for you into the sweet kisses you were sharing.

You swore that you've never been happier than you felt right now.

But you also know that you'll be this happy every day for the rest of your life because Nayeon will be by your side every step of the way.
