the first time she hears you sing in your native language (requested)

"This is going to be so much fun!" Nayeon grinned as she pulled the car out of the driveway. "A road trip! Just you and me on our way to an amazing vacation for a whole week! How exciting is that?"

"So exciting, baby. I can't wait." You said as she grabbed your hand in her free one.

"Me either. It's going to be an unforgettable few days." She smiled as she started to drive down the road. "Can you put some music on, baby?"

"Sure. Hang on, let me hook my phone up." You said as you pulled your hand away from hers.

You hooked your phone up to the car before scrolling through your music library but you stopped as you saw one of your absolute favorite songs in your playlist.

You didn't hesitate to tap on it and it began to play through the speakers of the car.

"I love this song so much!"

"Really? I don't think I've ever heard it." Nayeon said.

The song was in a different language, your native language.

The song that was in Portuguese played and you quickly began to sing along to it.

You knew every lyric by heart as it's in your language and one of your absolute favorite songs.

Nayeon took her eyes off the road as she pulled up to the red light and she watched you as you sang along.

To her, you had the prettiest voice in the whole world, and she was so in love with how you sound when you sing.

So to hear you singing along to your favorite song with the biggest smile on your face warmed her heart.

"You've got the prettiest voice, you know?"

"Nayeon," You said with a shy giggle.

"I love it when you get carried away with a song that you love, especially one in your language. I know how much it means to you."

"It does. I love this song so much."

"Can you teach me it? How to pronounce the words and more of your language in general?"

"You want to learn?"

"Yeah. I do." She smiled and leaned in to steal a quick kiss from your lips, only for a car to honk at her as the light turned green.

"Next red light, we'll kiss. Promise." She said as she took your hand into hers again.

You smiled before you began to sing again, only to stop a moment later to restart the song as it came to an end so you could teach Nayeon the words and the meaning behind them.

And she was so happy to learn everything she could about the language as you taught it to her, teaching her more about the things that were extremely important to you.

And it was especially important to her as over the last few months that you've been together, you've been working hard on your Korean.

It was her native language and out of love and respect for her, you were more than happy to learn for her.

So, she was more than happy to do the same for you.

Soon enough, after putting the song on repeat a few times, she knew a few words, enough to sing along a little.

"You know what? I love this song too." She said. "It's beautiful, like you."

You shook your head with a smile and as she reached a red light again, she gave you a sweet kiss.

"Teach me more Portuguese?"

"Sure, baby." You smiled as you turned on another Portuguese song, teaching Nayeon everything about it.

And she enjoyed every second of learning and singing along to it with you.
