Ed could still not believe what had happened. It was one thing killing Dougherty; he was a swine, a bully, and he deserved to die; but he really had not meant to kill Kristen. It was an accident; he was only trying to make her listen; to make her see that he had killed the officer for her, so that he would stop treating her as he had, and that she would no longer have to fear him. He did it so that they could finally be together, and he could make her happy. Ed not meaning to let his hand tighten around her throat, as she tried to escape his apartment, after telling him that he would go to prison for what had done, after calling him a freak; after hitting him around the head with a glass. Yet whether he liked it or not, he had killed her; and while he had been passed out, Edward had taken control, removing Kristen's body from the apartment, and leaving only the riddle on the bed to help Ed find where she was. A strange feeling taking over him as Leslie had nearly discovered the body, that Edward had left in a draw in her lab. The strange feeling turning into a thrill as Edward had asked him what it was like to commit a crime, and not get caught, before he began to dismember the body. Yet now, now it all hit him, again. He needed help, someone that he could talk to; someone that he could explain all this to. Someone that could be his confessor and might even help him dispose of Kristen's parts.

"She won't talk to me........." Ed said, as the car made its way down the streets of the city.

"She made it clear that she never wanted to see me, again, you know that......." He continued. Edward just humming to himself for a moment, as he looked back through the rearview mirror at Ed.

"And who is to blame, for that.....huh? Not me......If you had listened to me, you would have already had a woman in your life. Not one that you have had to wait for, because she would rather have a knuckle dragging thug as a boyfriend, than you. (Y/n) cared about you, before Kringle even looked at you sideways. But noooooooo.......you just had to have you little record keeper, didn't you. And how did that all work out for you......hmmm? Oh yes, you killed her because she didn't like the fact that you had murdered her old beau. You know, you really were pathetic; I was so ashamed to be you, sometimes........But luckily, now I am in charge........" Edward told him. None of it helping with the current situation; but now, after all that he had been through, after all that had happened, Ed had to admit that his alter ego was right. That he liked this new feeling; liked being this new person. A stronger person. A person that would no longer be bullied. Yet despite this new persona he still knew he needed help, and even if he could get to talk to (Y/n), even if he could explain himself and say sorry for all that he had done, without her seeing through with her threat to kill him, if she ever saw him again; it didn't mean that she would help him, even if she had despised Kristen, with getting rid of the body. That didn't mean that she would understand how he had ended up killing the red head after a night of love. But what other choice did he have.........? There was no one else in his life. No one outside those people that he worked with, and the last ones that he could look to were people that would happily lock him away for the rest of his days, for not just killing one, but two people. Ed knowing that he had no other choice; the forensic science technician quickly turning the steering wheel of the car, the tires protesting with a loud screech, as they pulled the automobile around the corner and down the long street to a home that he had not been to in some time.

                                                         >>------------------------------------<<

(Y/n) looked at the clock as she heard a knock on the door; surprised by the time and realising that she had been reading for hours. Not that that was unusual for her; but what was unusual, was a visitor at that late hour; (Y/n) getting to her feet and making her way to the front door of her apartment, her eyes growing wide she saw a familiar face through the little spy hole. A mixture of anger and an odd happiness filling her at the sight of his face.

It had been some time since she had seen Ed; since he had told her that he didn't care about her in any way, not as a friend, and certainly nothing else. That all he wanted was Kristen Kringle, and she just made him sick. That she was jealous of the record keeper, because she would never be as beautiful; their once strong bond of friendship, not just broken, but shattered into a million pieces, that night, after she had confessed her true feelings for him. Her anger, her embarrassment pushing her to scream at him, to threaten him. (Y/n) meaning every word she had said as she had told him that she would shoot him if she ever saw him again. And though it may have been a little of an overreaction, she hadn't cared; still didn't care. (Y/n) quickly making her way over to a rather elaborate old cabinet, where she kept her gun. Taking it out and making sure it was loaded, before walking back to the door. Another loud bang ringing out, as she took a deep breath. (Y/n) doing her best to calm her nerves, before she opened the door. A small smile making its way onto Ed's lips, before he found the barrel of a gun, pushed up again the middle of his forehead.
