52. To be Cale's Cat

"I'm going to kill that bastard." Choi Han cracked his knuckles, readying up his fist for a fight.

Cale stared at him, nervous and a bit scared although he didn't show it. Cale sighed. "Yeah, I met up with Clopeh not too long ago. He might come back soon."

"Is that why you were waiting for us?" Alberu asked.

Cale nodded. Then he handed him his phone. "Put your number in, so I can just text you next time."

"Of course, Cale-nim!" Choi Han happily entered his phone number inside Cale's contacts, he applied his name as "Cale-nim's Knight".

Cale read it, brushing it off.

Alberu entered his next, name as "Hyung". He gave back the phone to Cale, smiling brightly.

Cale stared at it, not thinking much about it. He put his phone back in his pockets. "I'll call you back when Clopeh arrives."

Alberu nodded.

"No." Choi Han denied.

"Huh?"

They all turned to him, confused. Rejecting Cale-nim's orders? How surprising of Choi Han.

"I'll stay with you." Choi Han had the eyes of a determined puppy. "What if we come too late?"

'That's out of question.' Cale thought. "I still have them by my side." He motioned to the cats on the bed.

Choi Han shook his head. "The more protectors for Cale-nim, the better."

'It's not like Clopeh will kill me.' Cale thought. 'Although he might make me mentally unstable.' Cale sighed. "Fine. Stay as long as you want, but we need to do something about your appearance."

"My appearance...?" Choi Han was confused.

"You're not planning on barging into someone's house and living in here, right?" Cale lectured the boy, although he did the exact same thing in a different way.

"Ah..." Choi Han realized the problem. "What should I do...?"

"Become a cat." Cale said.

"A cat...?"

"Yeah. I can just say it's my cat. Jiwoo is fond of cats anyways." Cale shrugged.

Choi Han looked up with big, large eyes. 'I can become Cale-nim's cat!' He became overjoyed. "How do I turn into a cat?" Choi Han asked excitedly.

"Magic." Cale replied.

POOF!

Choi Han turned into a cat.

Cale stared at him awkwardly. 'I didn't think that'll actually work. Well if it works, it works.' He shrugged. They did say don't mess with a code that works. "I'm going to sleep now." Cale announced as he instantly fell asleep as he met with the bed.

"Good night, Cale-nim."

They smiled softly as the red-head got a moment of peace.

"Let's kill that bastard." Choi Han declared.

"Of course, nya~" The cat siblings agreed, wearing a cute little evil face.

"Don't go overboard. We should make it a worthy death." Alberu warned the guys. "We should hand him over to Beacrox after."

Raon clenched his paw. "Don't worry. I'll make sure he's alive enough to be conscious."

Eruhaben tucked into the bed sheets. "Unlucky bastard..." He sighed.

The next morning...

"..." Cale sat down in Jiwoo's living room, across from Clopeh. Cats on his lap, especially the vicious ones. Never had he expected him to be here already, thank god he got into contact with those two last night. "What do you want?" Cale asked.

Clopeh's atmosphere immediately changed. "I came to see you, Cale-nim!" His face lit up with obsessive happiness.

Kayden and Kartein sat on Cale's side, weirded out. Whereas Jiwoo stood behind them, confusion filled with innocence.

'Who the fuck is this guy?!' Kayden wondered. Despite fighting with Vatore before, he seemed like a whole new person suffering from brain damage.

Cale groaned, there was no way between this guy. "How are you here?" Cale crossed his arms, one leg over the other as he glared at Clopeh from above.

"What do you mean, Cale-nim?" Clopeh asked, avoiding the question.

"I asked how you're here." His tone grew more angry.

Clopeh sweated. "I just woke up here... then I heard about a red-haired student who made a grand appearance at the Korean Awakened Academy! I knew it had to be you, who else would be praised so brilliantly if not the legend himself?!" His cheeks blushed.

Cale's face grew pale.

"Mr. Cale is really impressive!" Jiwoo joined in. "He beat both Gangseok and Duke!"

Clopeh's gaze turned to Jiwoo. "I knew someone would recognize the hero's great achievements! Of course he would beat them both, he's far more stronger than even the gods!" He started yapping again.

Although it was tiring for Jiwoo, he was too kind to interrupt the guy and so he listened unintentionally.

"Clopeh, stop bothering the boy."

Clopeh stopped upon hearing Cale's order. "Yes, Cale-nim!"

Cale sighed. "Go back to where you came from. And don't look for me." He told him were strictly.

Clopeh jumped at Cale, clinging onto his legs. "You can't do this to me, my lord!" He cried out. "I'll die if I'm not around your magnificent presence!"

'Let's kill this guy. Let's kill this guy. Let's kill this guy. Let's kill this guy...'

Cale could feel Choi Han's murderous intents even as a cat. "Calm down.." He patted Choi Han on the head in between his ears.

Choi Han buried his head into Cale's hand, purring.

'That should've been me.'

Everyone except Jiwoo had eyes on Choi Han, wanting to be the one getting the pats from Cale.

Clopeh laid his head on Cale's knees, looking up at him with big ol' eyes. "Cale-nim.. I can also be your cat if you want." He pleaded.

'Oh hell no...' Cale grew sick and tired of this man.

Kayden and Kartein were about to burst, chocking on their identity as a "regular cat". No. They wanted to be "Cale's cat".

Choi Han smirked. 'I'm Cale-nim's cat!'

"I'm here, my dear dongsaeng!—" Alberu stopped at the entrance. "What's happening here...?"
