'I'll be fine my ass.' Cale cursed in his head. He was currently sitting across from the awakener "Vatore" in the chairman of Baekdu's office.
"I've missed you so much, Cale-nim." Vatore's vibe became as bright as day. "It's been so devastating being away from you, a world without you is a world of despair."
'Shut up.' Cale groaned. His face became white with fear of the man in front of him.
Suman Kang, the new head of Baekdu, sat in between them awkwardly.
"What are you doing here?" Cale asked, sitting back in the chair with his arms crossed, clearly unhappy.
Vatore smiled. "I came to find you, Cale-nim."
Cale got cold sweat down his skin. "Well you found me, go back now."
"The path of a hero whose power is greater than that of a gods' is as hard as ever, but that will not stop me from following that someone's path! With absolute faith, I will not falter like my hero!" Vatore spoke nonsensically. "I am deeply moved by your worry for my wellbeing, but my mental state will not crumble just like your silver shield!"
The two watched as the man yapped nonstop, flabbergasted.
"Stop it." Cale sighed deeply. "Just tell me why you're here."
"Didn't I already say it?" Vatore asked. "I came to see you!" He smiled.
"Then why are you still here?"
'I don't think you should be talking to a world ranker like that!' Suman cried internally in fear of their wraith.
Cale got up.
"Where are you going, Cale-nim?" Vatore's gaze followed Cale.
"Leaving." Cale headed for the door.
Vatore flinched. "You can't!" He leaped over to Cale, clinging onto his bottom. "You can't leave me again!" He cried. "Life would have no meaning without the young master!"
'Then die, you fucking leech.' Cale stared at Vatore in disgust.
"Do- do the two of you know each other...?" Suman finally spoke up.
"No."
"Of course!"
They both spoke at the same time, contradicting each other.
"..." Cale frowned deeply. "I don't know anyone who goes by 'Vatore'." Cale kicked Vatore off of himself.
"I'm not Vatore!" Vatore shouted. "I'm Clopeh, Clopeh Sekka!"
'I knew that.' Cale gazed averted from him. He turned around, continuing with his plans.
"Don't leave me, my living legend!" Clopeh cried.
Cale left without another word.
The whole situation looked like a kdrama in the flesh. A cold-blooded CEO leaving his vulnerable girlfriend after mistaking her for cheating with someone else.
'Please get out.' Was what Suman wanted to say, but was too scared. He grew tired of Vatore's antics over the days he had to accompany him.
Cale quickly returned home by a cab, falling down onto the couch while avoiding any cats. The cats then started to form around him, cuddling around.
"Did something happen, Cale?" Jiwoo asked, watching the half-dead Cale on the couch. "You look more tired than usual."
"You shouldn't sleep like that, nya." Ohn massaged Cale's back with her tiny paws.
"It's lunch time. Did you eat, human?" Raon brought over a slice of apple pie. "You can't skip your meals again!" He nagged.
Cale lifted his head from being smushed into the cushion. "Clopeh is here." He announced.
The three cats and Eruhaben flinched.
"That lunatic?!" The kids shouted.
"Lunatic?"
Kayden and Kartein joined in.
"I thought you went to meet Vatore, not whoever this 'Clopeh' is." Kartein asked, confused.
"His real name is Clopeh, who I know..." Cale went around, changing the information to match the situation.
Kayden and Kartein frowned.
"So what happened?" Kartein asked.
"..." Cale averted his gaze. "I don't want to talk about it."
"That bastard must've done something again!" Hong shouted angrily.
"Should we just kill him?"
A malicious aura came from the kids, huddling together to discuss a plan.
Eruhaben sighed. "You unlucky bastard." He muttered quietly.
The next day...
Ding!
Dong!
"It's Sucheon again." Jiwoo looked through the camera.
Cale's face twitched. 'It better not be what I'm thinking about.'
"What're you doing here so early in the morning?" Jiwoo greeted Sucheon outside.
Sucheon looked like he was in an awkward position. "It's the same thing as last time. He's come to ask for Cale again."
Jiwoo nodded.
Sucheon held out his phone, giving it to Jiwoo. He looked away, embarrassed. "Put your number in. I don't want to keep coming back here."
Jinwoo flinched, immediately taking the phone and putting in his number.
Sucheon left once again.
"We're coming with you this time." Kayden suddenly told Cale.
Jinwoo came back inside.
'I never said I would go.' Cale sweated.
"That bastard better not try making a move on Cale again." Kayden clenched his teeth, holding up his trembling paw ready to attack anytime. "I'll make him pay."
"I'm not going back." Cale petted his cats gently.
"Huh? You're not going?" Jiwoo seemed quite shock.
"Yeah."
"What about Baekdu? They'll be eliminated if they can't bring you to him." Jiwoo began to worry about something totally unrelated to himself.
"..." Cale froze. 'I would like to teach that brat Sucheon a lesson, but destroying his home and family is too far.' He weighed his decision. "Tell him to come here himself then."
"What?!"
"Are you nuts?!" Kartein shouted at Cale.
Cale sighed. "It'll be fine. I'm sure he won't do anything troublesome." Cale reassured them. 'It'll be better to get rid of him. I better inform Alberu first.'
Jiwoo looked at Kayden, looking for a signal. He turned to Cale. "Alright.. if you say so, I'll trust you..." Jinwoo anxiously turned to his phone, texting Sucheon.
'How should I get into contact with Alberu.. I don't have his phone number... Does he even know what a phone is?' Cale sweated. 'Choi Han taught him, right...?'
At night...
"Clopeh is here."
"What...?"
"What!?"
