To do such a thing would be unthinkable, because a defeat from one member meant a loss for the entire organization they belonged to.
But, those kids, they're willing to sacrifice themselves for strangers?
Cale frowned. This wasn't "sacrificing himself for a stranger", this was "saving himself from trouble"!
Jiwoo took their direct attention, running and dodging from attacks, while Cale protected him from the sidelines.
"That damn speed of your's a nuisance." The enemy appeared behind Jiwoo. "And that damn shield of his is the same!"
Cale gritted his teeth, reforming his shield behind Jiwoo.
Shhh...
The attacker's arm froze, from Subin's power.
Then Wooin and Jisuk joined in, sending explosions supported by the wind at him.
The crowd was surprised, they also joined in?!
Yet, the group still struggled to keep a single Frame member in order.
They've decided to join in, but would that make their efforts better? Cale wondered. They're already working hard against one out of three.
But thanks to them, other students began acting as well.
They started again with coordinated attacks.
"PFT- HAHAHAhaha. You thought you could hurt me, a world ranker!? I'm in a league of my own, you puny students wouldn't even be able to scratch me!"
Cale frowned, watching this man's ego take over. Sigh, did he really have to resort to this?
The enemy leaped towards Gangseok, finding his next toy.
BANG!
He hit a shield, sturdy enough to absorb the attack. "What the?! Fucking shield again, how dare you!" He tried to go for another hit to destroy that obstacle.
But before he could make contact, Cale struck him with a fiery thunderbolt like Zeus the Thunder Bringer using the Fire of Destruction. The lightning so strong, fried the man to ashes.
"He- he's been defeated?!"
"What was that power?!"
"What the?! Don't tell me he has another type of power!?" Jisuk grew devastated and surprised.
Huh?
Cale seemed to have let another slip as he took care of one.
The women who came along with them rushed towards Cale, carrying an unexpected attack from a blind spot.
Shit, he didn't have time to dodge or deploy his shield.
Thud!
Lancelot pounced onto her, biting down her side with its sharp teeth.
Cale sweated. Maybe he should treat Lancelot a bit kinder next time...?
"Did you feel that?" Eruhaben stood up.
The kids, Eruhaben, and Choi Han were sitting around Cale's dorm, uninvited to the viewing.
"What are you talking about, goldie gramps?" Raon asked, confused.
"I felt something near the arena where that unlucky bastard's at." Eruhaben furrowed his brows.
"It must be pretty strong seeing as you can detect it all the way here." Choi Han caught on quickly. "Let's hurry. Something might've happened to Cale-nim."
The kids nodded.
They jumped out the window, taking the fastest route to the stadium. When they arrived, they were stopped.
Bang!
"Ow.." Hong hit his head on something, like an invisible barrier. "That hurts."
"Are you alright, Hong?" Ohn asked, helping her brother back up.
"I'm fine.."
"A shield?" Choi Han thought aloud.
"Are you able to dispel it, goldie gramps?" Raon asked.
Eruhaben frowned. "It's well done. The structure and strength was meticulously controlled to maximize the output. Still, I should be able to break it."
Raon cheered.
The dean flinched startled. "Hey! Something's wrong!"
The man standing above on the sidelines, Earthquake, groaned, clearly annoyed. "What do you want? All you have to do is keep an eye on the barriers!"
"Someone's breaking the outer barrier!"
Earthquake flinched. If someone could bypass that barrier, that would make them quite a formidable foe. But could he handle them? A top 50 ranker, and all his current companions are down.
..s..S.. Shatter!
The outer barrier broke into thin shards.
"Everyone! Run!" Commanded the student president Leah.
On her orders, they all scattered. Now there were barely any students left for Frame to kill.
Earthquake clenched his teeth, frustrated. Their planned attack failed miserably, and against the world's top organizations at that. "THIS IS ALL BECAUSE OF YOU!!" He launched towards Cale.
"Cale!"
"Human!"
"Cale-nim!"
"That unlucky bastard..."
Cale flinched, startled by the sudden attack. He raised his arms, hurriedly deploying his shield.
