A chuckle escapes my lips and I shake my head at Dani as we start walking again. As soon as we reach her lecture room, I open the door and hold it open for her. "Thank you sweetheart." Dani whispers as she slips by me and I catch a whiff of her perfume again. I just stand there for a second before finally walking into the room. It's not my fault that her perfume smells so good. The unknown scent mixed with the scent of apples first teased my senses at the diner when I hugged Dani and it definitely became my favorite scent even though I'm not sure exactly what it is.

Dani walks gracefully to her desk and sets her stuff down. "Grab that extra rolling chair in the corner and bring it to my desk so you have somewhere to sit." I do as Dani says as she is looking at something on her cell phone. The door to the lecture room opens and a few students start walking in. After grabbing the extra rolling chair and placing it at the corner of Dani's desk a couple feet from her chair, I sit down, ready to observe her.

Suddenly I hear Dani sigh as she quickly pulls her chair out and moves it over directly beside me. She leans in towards me then glances around the room quickly before her attention is back on me. "Taytum, I hate to ask this on such short notice but is there any way you could pick Kadence up from daycare today? I just received an email about a mandatory meeting this afternoon 3:30-5:30. If not, I understand and I will try to find someone else."

Just by looking at Dani, I can tell the last minute meeting has quickly stressed her out which can be expected when you have a child to take care of. "Of course I will pick KK up. Can you let the daycare know and send me the location?"

I watch Dani visibly relax as she reaches over and squeezes my hand. "Thank you so much Taytum. I will step out and call the daycare now. While I'm doing that, if you will, get my laptop out and hook it up for a slideshow to be projected. Again, thank you, you're a lifesaver." Before I even have a chance to respond, Dani is nearly to the door. A few more students walk in after her and glance my way as they pass by her desk.

After a few seconds, I hear the door open so I glance up and Dani is walking back into the lecture hall while aggressively typing on her phone. She walks about halfway to her desk and stops as she continues typing. I can't seem to take my eyes off of her and I glance over her work attire for the second time today. My eyes travel down the white blouse, with the three top buttons still undone, to her black dress pants. She has completely ditched her black jacket that she had on this morning and... wow.

As my eyes travel back up, the allure of visible skin from her blouse and gorgeous neck, captures my attention momentarily. As I force my gaze away from Dani's gorgeous neck, I am caught off guard as my eyes lock with her beautiful green eyes. I swallow and quickly avert my gaze to my phone that's on the desk. I quickly pick it up, open tick tok, thankful it's on silent, and start mindlessly scrolling while internally chastising myself for being caught looking at her in such a way.

I hear Dani's heels against the floor as she walks the rest of the way to her desk. She adjusts her chair as I hear the door open and I assume other students enter the lecture room. I do not dare look up because I know Dani is right there. I hear her chuckle as she sits down in her chair then she turns towards me but I still do not look at her. Dani moves her chair forward and places a hand on my knee to steady herself as she leans in right beside my ear. "Taytum, stop looking at me like that because you're gay is showing, sweetie." Dani whispers and chuckles again as I snap my head up to look at her. She has such a smug look on her face as she picks up her phone and leans back in her chair because apparently she finds it amusing that she caught me obviously checking her out. Out of all the things I was expecting her to say, that was not one of them. It almost came across as flirty but I know it wasn't meant like that.

Two can play this game though and I know just the thing that will probably wipe that smug look off of Dani's perfect face. I lean in towards her, "well, if you could see what I see, then you would look too." She quickly snaps her attention away from her phone and looks at me. Her eyes lock with mine for a few seconds and I notice a slight blush covering her neck and cheeks. Before I can apologize for what I said, because I know I shouldn't have, she puts her phone down on her desk then quickly stands up and walks around to the front of the room. With a commanding voice, Dani silenced the chatter in the lecture room as soon as she started speaking. "Good afternoon, everyone. Welcome to Poetry 101, I am Professor Howard. The young lady at my desk is my TA, Ms. James. You all will see her periodically throughout the semester during this class. Let's go over the syllabus for this course then if anyone has any questions you may ask them when I am finished."

Dani turns around and grabs the clicker off her desk to start the slide for her syllabus. She glances at me then leans forward and in a whisper says "my office, after this class." I just nod my head in understanding as she turns her attention back to her students. I think it's safe to say I apparently pissed her off, even though that was not my intention. Yes, I was being honest by what I said but it was meant in a joking manner as she had done with me by her remark. By Dani's tone of voice it's definitely safe to say I overstepped by what I said. I let out a deep sigh as I'm racking my brain trying to think of a way to lighten her mood. I will definitely apologize, that's for sure but I need to do something else. I'm just not sure what.

As Dani starts going over the syllabus for this class, my eyes watch her as she walks back and forth, going through all the information. I have no idea what she is talking about and as she makes her way back in front of her desk, without thinking I guess, she leans against the front of her desk, giving me a perfect view of her butt. I try my hardest to avert my eyes but it's no use. My eyes automatically go to her full, thick butt that is right in front of me. Damn, Dani is so hot. She is amazing, beautiful, sexy... dirty hot. That doesn't even make sense but it's like my brain short circuited with the view I have directly in front of my face. Those dress pants hug her butt so deliciously.

This is going to be a long semester if I have to endure more days like this. I am so screwed and only keep crushing even harder on Dani than I already was. She finally moves and starts walking back and forth again. She turns towards her desk and our eyes meet as she is talking about exams and what to expect. I think that's what she was talking about, like I said, I'm not really listening.

A few minutes later Dani stops talking for a second then suddenly says "okay, that's it for today. Everyone get out. If you have any questions then email me, stop by my office during visiting hours or ask when we meet again." Damn, I have never heard Dani be that short with anyone. She stands there with her arms crossed and needless to say, it didn't take students long to scurry out of the room.

Once the door closes behind the last student, Dani releases a deep sigh. I watch as she walks around her desk and gathers her stuff. "Disconnect my laptop please and follow me." I do as Dani said and she grabs her laptop then we walk back to her office in silence.
