Memories

"Babe, cuddle..."

I grabbed his waist and placed him between my arms while we're on bed. Cali wasn't here and he seemed to miss Japan a lot. Gabi na, pero wala pa rin siya!

Tumitig ako sa kisame habang tahimik naman si Trev sa bisig ko. He hummed a song while my mind was pacing back to what happened here in the same hotel.

I can still remember the woman I talked to when I was a kid.

Claire...

"Baby?" I probed.

"Yeah?" Tumingala siya sa akin at nakita akong nakatitig sa kawalan.

"I haven't told anyone about this, actually," I murmurmed as I smiled a bit.

"Alin?" Hinarap niya ako at umunan sa braso ko.

He clutched around my gray shirt, while he was on his black sweater. Our legs brushed intimately with our black sweatpants. I chuckled because I really found him cute.

"I'm willing to listen." His brows furrowed a bit. "Sabihin mo na! Ipipilit ko 'to, gago."

I chuckled hoarsely. Bakit may pamura?

"Just some fragments of what happened here..." I trailed while caressing his cheeks, his eyes and brows were softening against my touch.

During our vacation, Dad has always been on his phone. Mommy wasn't always with us every time we go out or when we were staying in our hotel.

And Dad's fine with it. I can't believe that he's fine with it!

Unti-unti ko na silang hindi maramdaman. I feel like I'm missing them, so I'm always trying to get their attention.

"Daddy, can we play?"

He was sitting on the cozy sofa while hunching over his laptop. His phone kept on buzzing. I tilted my head when I saw him smile as he typed on his phone.

"Daddy..." I called in a low voice.

He lifted his eyes on me. "I have some emails to be done, buddy. I'll make it up to you later."

My heart sank. I stared at my newly bought lego bricks. Tinulak ko ang laruan at tumulala. Ngumuso ako at muling sumulyap kay Daddy na natatawa sa phone.

He's doing emails on his phone? Nakakatawa pala magbasa ng emails?

"Where's Mommy?" Lumabi ako.

"She said, she's meeting a friend. Probably her friends here in Japan." His eyes darkened when he stared at his phone screen. "Is it okay if I leave you here? Mabilis lang ako, babalik ako agad."

He'll leave me here? Hindi niya ako isasama?

I stared at him. "W-What if there's mumu like your mumu pancake? Don't leave me alone here, Dad."

"There's nothing to be scared of. I have to go, okay?" He messed my hair and took the winter coat that we ordered inside the cabinet.

"Daddy, we're supposed to wear that if we go to Disneyland!" I whined the moment I saw it.

Tumingin lang siya sa 'kin bago umalis. Nakatingin lang ako sa nakasaradong pintuan ng ilang minuto. I heaved and cautiously wandered my eyes around the hotel room.

"Dad's not here. I don't know how to make a house." I stared at the Lego bricks scattered on the floor.

I kept on yawning as I stared at the clock. The air was cold and I was already sneezing. I don't know how to lower the temperature of the air conditioner.
