Chapter 45 - I Was Just Vibing, and Now I'm on Fire

Last night, I defeated three bosses, psychologically obliterated my team in DOTA using nothing but superior brain cells and lightning-fast finger reflexes, and I also rewatched Code Geass for the eighteenth time—yes, I cried again, no further questions please... And now I'm lying on my bed questioning my life choices.

Ethy, my fur-coated roommate, yawned like she owned the place and stared at me like I was the one disturbing her peace.

Traitor.

I scrolled through my phone.

And then— Cringe.

Another stolen photo of me on the Wayne Academy student page.

I groaned so hard it echoed in my soul.

Why is being a decent human being suddenly romanticized?

I literally gave the guy a drink because he looked one sneeze away from collapsing.

And why does this cursed post have eleven thousand likes?

Are the students at this school blind?

Or is my face so radiant it bends social logic?

I flipped my phone over and sighed dramatically.

Truly.

I am cursed.

Blessed with an angelic face and a personality ranked somewhere between barely tolerable and accidentally noble.

Ping.

A message from Asha.

Asha Gorilla:
Go to InterMall. Bring cash, not a card.

I squinted at the screen.

Oh good. She just woke up and decided my peace wasn't allowed to exist.

Also, she hasn't given me any updates about Miexha.

Another message popped up.

Asha Gorilla:
If you don't show up, I'm sending you photos of Miexha in her undies.

I dropped my phone.

WHAT THE ACTUAL—

Look.

Yes, I love Miexha.

Yes, I want to see her every second of the day.

But I am also a gentleman.

A man of culture.

A prince of self-control.

I picked up my phone with shaking hands and rage-typed like a Victorian nobleman defending family honor.

Zatariel:
Asha. You creep. Delete that image. What is wrong with you??
If you traumatize Miexha, I'm telling Luna you're two-timing her with Bianca.

And yes. I had evidence. Lots of it.

Silence.

No reply.

Coward.

I flung off my blanket.

This was war.

Asha had crossed a sacred line. Not only did she threaten privacy laws, but she dared to use Miexha as a hostage.
