Chapter 57 - The Weirdest Dream
Miexha - Her POV

I was standing in a field so wide, it felt like the whole world was breathing with me.

The grass brushed my ankles-cool, delicate, and damp with dew-as I walked barefoot beneath a sky the color of blush and cream. There were flowers too, blooming freely like no one had told them to behave. Pale pastels danced in the breeze: peach, lavender, daffodil yellow... some I didn't even know the names of, but I loved them anyway.

The air smelled like cotton candy and clouds. Like something made just for me. It was the kind of place that shouldn't exist-but somehow felt like home.

And then... the bunnies.

Five of them.

They hopped out from a patch of lavender like a soft little parade-each one so perfect it made my heart flutter.

Two were as black as midnight with bright blue eyes, like tiny pieces of the night sky had fallen into fur.
One was a warm chocolate-brown, soft and sleepy, with matching twinkling eyes.
Another was pure white-snowflake white, with round brown eyes that shimmered with kindness.
I giggled without meaning to and opened my arms.

They came to me like they already knew I was theirs.

"My babies," I whispered, holding them close, feeling their tiny hearts beat against my skin.

But then, I saw the last one.

The golden one.

It didn't come closer. It just stood a little farther off, watching.

Its fur glowed like sunlight trapped in thread. Its eyes... the most tender, lonely shade of blue I had ever seen. Sad and soft and searching.

"Don't be shy," I whispered. "Come here, my love."

But just before I could take a step toward it-
I heard something.

A cry.

Tiny. Sharp. Hurting.

I turned, and my heart cracked in two.

The white bunny. My sweet, snowy one.

Its white fur was stained.

Crimson. Blood.

"No," I gasped, stumbling forward. "No-please-don't-"

I dropped to my knees, reaching for it, desperate to hold it. But it vanished-just slipped through my fingers like mist.

Gone.

I clutched the air, crying so hard it shook me. The field suddenly felt colder, like someone had taken the sun with them.

The other bunnies kept playing, unaware. Still chasing each other in circles, still soft and happy.

But the golden one...
It hadn't moved.

Still standing there and still watching. But farther now. Like it was slipping away.

I ran to it. Tried to. But my legs felt heavy, like the earth itself wanted me to stay behind.

I pushed harder. Ran faster. Tears blur everything.

But I couldn't reach it.

Then-
The sky cracked.

Like glass.

The field tore away like paper, and I was somewhere else.

The Capital.

But not how I remembered it.

It was... ruined.

Ash and fire in the distance. Crushed buildings. Screams. Smoke. Panic. Sirens. Everything broken.
