Miexha sat cross-legged on a round bench, still giggling to herself as she added fins to a sketch of Jayson as a sleep-deprived whale shark. She was halfway through shading his grumpy eyebrows when-snatch!

"AHH-! ASHA!"
Too late. The notebook was gone.

Asha twirled with it like she was presenting evidence in a courtroom.
"Ladies and gentlemen of the jury... this is art. This is history."

Jayson leaned over her shoulder, sipping sparkling cider like he wanted it to be coffee.
"If there's another version of me in there with a dorsal fin...."

Asha flipped a page and screamed.
"YOU'RE IN HERE TWICE. Once as 'Moody Shark Dad' and once as '#1 Tall Support Unit with Lifelong Emotional Fatigue.'"

"I mean," Zatariel cut in, perched on the bench's arm like a smug pelican, "she's not wrong."

He plucked the notebook from Asha's hands and casually turned to his page. A smirk bloomed like algae.
