Chapter 134
Miexha pov
I woke up slowly, morning light creeping through the curtains like a nosy neighbor.
Everything ached—in places I forgot could ache. Cherry. Legs. Back. Shoulders.
God, Jayson… you’re a monster.
He just couldn’t stop last night. I lost count after round three. Or was it four? Five? Every time I thought he was done, he’d pull me close again, whispering how much he missed me. How much he loved me.
And I let him.
Willingly. Repeatedly.
My cheeks burned. I tugged the blanket up to my chin, hiding my face from absolutely no one.
From the bathroom, I heard water splashing and soft giggles.
Jamie’s giggles. Her laugh echoed like sunshine.
I sat up slowly, wincing at the soreness, and peeked toward the bathroom door.
And there he was.
Jayson stood by the tub, shampooing Jamie’s hair. Shirtless. Only a towel around his waist. His damp hair stuck to his forehead.
I swallowed.
Yup. Just like my old doodles.
Broad shoulders. Defined abs. Trouble.
And last night, we did that. A lot of that.
“Mommy! Come join us!” Jamie giggled, waving her soapy hands as bubbles overflowed from the tub.
Jayson looked up and grinned. “Come on, I’ll shampoo your hair too. You look tired.”
My face burned hotter.
“Don’t you dare,” I hissed, turning toward the mirror—
And there they were.
His masterpieces.
Red hickeys scattered like a proud artist’s signature on my neck and shoulders.
He smirked. Bastard.
I smacked his arm. “You’re proud of this?!”
He laughed softly. Before I could escape, he scooped me up like I weighed nothing and dropped me into the tub beside Jamie.
Jamie squealed, clapping, water splashing everywhere.
“I love my Mommy and Daddy the most!”
Jayson pressed a kiss to my wet forehead.
“We’re staying together now, I promise. If you want to stay in Red City, we stay. But maybe... we move back to the mansion? The bed here’s too small for me.”
I rolled my eyes.
“You just want a king-sized bed.”
He grinned. “And you. Mostly you.”
I sighed. “Fine. We’ll go back. But let me finish my school stuff first. And Jamie’s birth certificate.”
“I’ll handle the paperwork,” he said smoothly. “You focus on school.”
You are so dumb, Miexha Verra Dom. You fell for the abs.
---
After the bath, Jayson insisted on making breakfast.
“You can cook now?” I blinked.
He flipped a pancake like a pro.
“I had to. Asha’s cooking would’ve killed me. Six years of survival training.”
I laughed. “Was it that bad?”
“Worse,” he whispered like he’d seen war.
Just as we sat down, the doorbell rang.
Jamie and I dashed to the door with our glasses—our little morning ritual.
