Flashback from the end of the last chapter:
Tara then went into the living room while Sophie left the house, whereupon Rosita wanted to get up straight away, but Tara calmed her down by explaining to Rosita that Sophie just needed a moment for herself but that she was willing to give Michael a chance. This calmed Rosita down a bit but she was still worried. After a few minutes of silence, Rosita got up and explained that she would show Michael his room because they still had one left and he was now living with Rosita, Sophie and Tara, which would be an adjustment for all of them.
Now:
While Tara and Rosita got to know Michael, Sophie walked around Alexandria for a while until after a while she saw Henry as some of the a whose communities were in Alexandria and it was the same with the other communities. Sophie looked at him for a moment before deciding to go over to him. "What are you doing?" Sophie said it in a curious tone as she calmed down a bit but was still in a bit of a bad mood because of the current situation. "Oh hey Sophie, I'm going to clean the weapons and reload them," Henry explained while looking gently at Sophie but holding the post he was cleaning in his hand. "Do you need help?" Sophie then asked, still slightly annoyed but also partly "Sure here" came from Henry while he gave Sophie a weapon, which she then accepted. The two of them cleaned the weapons together and reloaded them if a weapon ran out of ammunition. Sophie and Henry were talking but also laughing, with Henry laughing and Sophie just grinning. It had been going on for a moment until Henry spoke up and suddenly seemed very nervous. "Hey uhm..Soph?" Suddenly, after a few minutes of silence, Henry became nervous because he realized exactly what he was going to say. "What's wrong with you? You look like children who look at Eugene when he wants to be funny?" Sophie said teasingly as she looks up from the weapon and then looks at Henry, who laughs slightly at Sophie's saying. "No no, I was just thinking about something I've wanted to tell you for a long time," Henry said honestly but still nervously, whereupon he received a curious but also confused look from Sophie. Sophie then looked at Henry as she waited for him to continue talking.
"Well, you know we've been friends and best friends for several years," Henry then continued, finally slowly coming to the topic he actually wanted to discuss. "And for some time now I've had a feeling that I feel more than just friendship for you and I've realized exactly what that feeling is," Henry explained as he spoke openly about his feelings towards Sophie. Sophie looked at him a little surprised for a moment but didn't say anything at first because it seemed like Henry wanted to say something else. "Sophie Espinosa I love you, since the first day I saw you," Henry said seriously but still in a gentle tone when he had finished speaking and now looked at Sophie. "Henry..." was the first thing Sophie said before she continued. "Well, I like you a lot too, um in the same sense," Sophie then continued, trying to explain her feelings to Henry, which Sophie finds quite difficult because she doesn't talk about her feelings often. Henry then smiled, which Sophie did too. The two then went back to their activity
Activity where the two talked until they were finished and then talked some more afterwards. After a while the two went their separate ways, but before that they both said goodbye to each other and Henry kissed Sophie, who returned it after a few seconds. Then the two looked at each other for a moment with a smile. "See you tomorrow" came from Henry before he went in a different direction. Sophie then went home where Tara, Rosita and Michael were. "I'm back," Sophie called as she closed the door. "Hey, why so happy? You were really angry before and now you're so happy?" Rosita said with a smile. "Uhm, maybe just maybe I had my first kiss earlier," Sophie said. "Aww my little one is growing up," Rosita said with a smile while Tara just looked on with a smile. Tara, Rosita and Sophie spent the rest of the evening talking, bringing in Micheal and Sophie trying to include him as she promised Tara. When it was late enough, Sophie went to her room after saying goodnight. After a while, Michael dsnn also decided to go to his room, which Tara and Rosita had given him. "I'm going to sleep too, good night, see you tomorrow," Micheal said cautiously while Tara and Rosita also wished him a good night. Then he went to his room where he lay down in bed until after a while he fell asleep. Sophie also fell asleep after a while after thinking about what had happened today. Sophie found out she had a stepbrother but that same day her best friend kissed her and said he had feelings for her? When Sophie thought about it for a few times, she slowly but surely fell asleep and ended up in the land of dreams.
