Flashback from the end of the last chapter:
Carl continued to say. After a few minutes Sophie got up and went towards the exit. "Hey little kiddo..I love you...you're like my little sister.." came weakly from Carl. "I love you too," Sophie cried before she went out. When she was outside, Michonne and Sophie winced because Carl had shot himself. Michonne saw Carl's hat on Sophie's head and hugged her before they slowly walked with Sophie and Rick to Hiltop to Rosita and the others.
Timeskip 5 years:
It's been 5 years since Carl's death and Sophie took care of Judith as she promised, but of course she helped the group as best she could and she was closer to Rosita than ever before and Tara was getting closer and closer, even though Tara and Rosita had been there for about a year now Were in a relationship for 6 years. Siddiq the man Carl saved was now a member of the group and was a helpful doctor in Alexandria and also a good friend but Sophie didn't like him because Carl died because of him. Sophie is now 15 years old and really liked Henry, a boy from Kindom, even though they were both friends, she liked him more.
The bad thing that happened was that Rick disappeared and was believed to be dead when he blew up the bridge and everyone believed he was dead since he blew up with the bridge during the explosion.
Now:
Sophie is currently out with judith,aaron,rosita,eugene and aaron but suddenly sophie and judith moved away from the others when they heard voices that seemed unfamiliar to them.
"Sophie come!" It came from Judith, now 10 years old, as she ran in front while Sophie ran behind. "Judith" came from Sophie as she followed Judith but Judith just kept running. "Judith, now slow down," Sophie said seriously but also slightly annoyed as she pulled Judith back slightly by the sleeve of her shirt and made her stand, but of course so that Judith wouldn't get hurt or anything else. "But Sophie, maybe you need help? You don't call for help for nothing!" Judith said it both stubbornly and seriously, whereupon Sophie sighed. "Yes, you're right, you might need help but it could also be a trap," Sophie said seriously. "And what if not?" Judith was stubborn because she really wanted to help people. Sophie then sighed before she nodded and the two of them ran further in the direction from where the voices and screams could be heard. When Judith and Sophie got to Dean enough, they saw a small group surrounded by walkers."Hey, you guys, over here!" Judith Fann shouted while Sophie shot and then killed a few walkers. The small group of people looked to Judith for a moment confused as they didn't expect to be rescued by a little girl and a teenager. "Are you deaf or what? Finally come!" It came when Sophie addressed the group in annoyance while she continued to kill walkers, which caused her to get attention from other walkers and they left the group. She then fought the group through the walkers as best she could until they got to the two girls and Sophie then lowered her weapon but held it in her hand while Judith and Sophie ran with the group further away where they were safe. "I'm Judith," Judith said in a safe and confident tone as she looked at the group. "Close enough" came from Sophie in a serious but also slightly threatening tone when a man in the group approached Judith, whereupon Sophie's grip on her pistol tightened and he took a step back. "Who are you?" The question came from a woman in the group. Sophie said nothing, whereupon the woman looked at the group before saying something again. "I'm Magna, this is Yumiko, Kelly, Connie and Luke," the woman said as she pointed to herself and then to the others while naming them, which Sophie answered with a nod.
In the meantime, "aaron, Rosita and the others who were traveling with Judith and Aophie were looking for Sophie and Judith since they had moved away from the others and no one knew where they were."Judith, Jude! Sophie!" the others shouted as they looked for Sophie and Judith.
"I'm here!" came Judith as she ran to Aaron, who immediately got to her eye level and checked to see if Judith was okay, but he noticed that everything was fine with Judith. "Don't ever scare me like that again." Rosita came worriedly as she walked up to Sophie and immediately pulled her into a hug. "I'm fine, mom," Sophie said softly while still rolling her eyes. "Still! You can't just run away, otherwise you'll stay in Alexandria if you keep running away and besides, you know better than Judith how dangerous this world is Sophie." Rosita then said as she pulled away from the hug but her tone was both a bit worried but also stern as she looked at Sophie and then at Judith. "We, why me too?! I just followed Judith so nothing would happen to her!" Sophie said something confused but also slightly annoyed, whereupon Rosita sighed."Look, just don't leave and then you two won't have this problem, okay?" Rosita then sighed, whereupon the two girls nodded until there was a brief silence, which Judith then interrupted when she looked at the group that Judith and Sophie had brought with them. "They called out, they needed help, so we left," Judith then explained while Aaron looked at the group. "Judith, that's not possible and you know it," Rosita said seriously but also sternly, whereupon Judith wanted to protest but read it. Afterwards, Luke tried to make a suggestion for the dead animal that Eugene had, but Eugene just said that they would make stew with it. Suddenly Connie Kelly signaled that a few walkers were approaching but Eugene quickly pulled out his machete and killed some and Sophie kicked one in the leg causing him to fall and then stabbed him in the leg. When the walkers were dealt with, Judith spoke up again."they need food, water and medicine, I can't leave without you," Judith said, whereupon Aophie suddenly chimed. Rosita then gave Aaron a look and Aaron then thought about it before saying that the group could come with them. Magna helped Yumiko up and then helped her walk and the group then set off with the others on their way to Alexandria. "Hey, you go with Judith, Eugene and the others to Alexandria and bring these people there, I'll check with Sophie if everything is safe nearby," Rosita suddenly said after a while of silence, whereupon Aaron looked at her puzzled But he agreed, so he and the others continued to walk towards Alexandria and Rosita and Sophie went in a different direction and checked to make sure there weren't more people nearby and whether it was reasonably safe. "What you and Judith did earlier could have gone wrong," Rosita began as she ran through the forest with Sophie. "Yes, I know, I told her that too, but she didn't want to listen to it and I couldn't just let her go alone, mom," Sophie then explained as she looked around the area. "Yes, that's true, but you agreed to stay when Judith said "She won't come back if these people aren't allowed to come with her, why?" Rosita then explained and at the end asked Sophie a question which Rosita asked in a rather skeptical tone.
"Back when Negan attacked Alexandria and I went with Carl, Michonne and Rick, we took Carl to a house, Carl asked me to look after Judith and I promised him that I would look after her, mom I keep my promise that I made to Carl " Sophie then explained a little sadly as she thought of Carl, but Sophie's tone changed to a serious one when she told Rosita that she would keep this promise. "Sophie..." Rosita said cautiously before the two of them continued on in silence. After a while both of them had killed some walkers that were close to them.
"Stay behind me," Rosita suddenly whispered as she reached for her pistol when suddenly noises were heard that sounded like a fight against a walker. Rosita went ahead but Sophie stayed nearby and looked for walkers. When the two arrived, Rosita saw a boy who was perhaps just a little older than Sophie fighting a walker. Rosita then shot the walker in the head and the walker fell to the ground, which drew the boy's attention to Rosita and he looked at her. "Hey you, are you okay, did it bite you?" Rosita sounded rather cold while the boy stood up and nodded. "Yes..a-everything's fine, not a bit," the boy said nervously, whereupon Rosita nodded.
"I assume you don't have a burst or anything to sleep on?" Rosita also asked rather coldly, whereupon she got another nod and then sighed. "Good. You come with me for now, God Michonne will be anything but happy with it, well that'll be something..." Rosita then continued to say coldly, but she mumbled the last part to herself."What's your name? I can't always address you as you," Rosita said again. "I'm Micheal, Micheal Ford" came the boy who turned out to be Michael. "Oka- wait Ford..? Are you related to an Abraham Ford..?" Rosita was surprised when she heard the last name. "That's my dad," the boy said, whereupon Rosita looked at Micheal in shock for a moment before she composed herself again. "Anyway, let's go," Rosita then continued, which got her a nod. "Sophie, we're leaving" Rosita said when she looked at Sophie who was looking for walkers nearby and Sophie went there when she heard Rosita but looked confused at Micheal and Rosita. "Mom, who is that?" Sophie then asked confused. "I'm Micheal Ford, well your brother," Micheal said a little nervously as he looked at Sophie. "Wait bro!? Since when do I have a brother? Mom!" Then Sophie got upset when she looked at Micheal but then looked at Rosita again. "Sophie...we'll sort this out at home," Rosita said in a flash, whereupon Sophie sighed in annoyance but agreed. So Sophie and Rosita went towards Alexandria with Micheal in tow, who revealed himself to be Sophie's brother or half-brother.
