Flashback from the end of the last chapter:
This reminds Maggie a bit of Sophie because from now on Rosita has to raise Sophie alone because Abraham left the two of them and then died because of Negan. When the funeral was over everyone left but Maggie stayed for a moment before she left and the important one things went after.
Now:
Timeskip about 2 years (I'm sorry for the many timeskips but there's another one coming and that's it for now)
It's been about 2 years since Rick's group and the others had the "war" with Negan and the Saviors, which is still going on today. A lot happened in those 2 years, Sasha died, Eugene was with Negan's people for a while and was on Negan's side for a while. But there were also good things that happened. Tara and Rosita got together because Rosita was finally ready for a relationship again after Abraham's death and Tara had been slightly in love with Rosita since she saw Rosita for the first time and about a day ago, Tara then confessed her love to Rosita, which Rosita also confessed to her. Another good thing that happened in these 2 years is that Carl and Sophie have become even closer and are now literally like siblings, he is like their big brother and Sophie, who is now 10 years old, is like his little sister apart from Judith.
Now:
Now Carl, together with Sophie and Judth, made a painting in which one of each hand was previously painted with paint and fsnn was pressed into place. Carl's hand was on the far left, next to it in the middle was Sopie's hand and on the right was Judith's little hand. When it was finished, Carl put it on the wall in the house. Afterwards the 3 of them did a variety of things like they had been doing for the last few months but something was different just what?..
A few days ago Carl met a man in the forest while Carl was in the forest and now, during another attack by the Saviors, Carl took him to a bunker that Carl had once found and went in with the man where Carl said the man should make himself comfortable do it before Carl came back but with Daryl and a few others and Sophie was of course there too. At some point, Rick and Michonne came along and looked around and noticed that Sophie, Daryl, little Judith, Rosita, Tara and a few others were there until Rick's eyes fell on the man, but Carl saw his father's look and said something before rick could. "This is Siddiq, I met him in the forest, he's okay but he's also a doctor," Carl explained in a weak voice. Afterwards, Michonne and Rick went to Carl's, whereupon Rosita left because she was with Sophie at Carl's. Rosita went to the side while Sophie stayed with Carl. "Carl...what's wrong?" Rick came worried but also curious when he saw Carl sitting leaning against the wall and looking weakly at Rick.Carl then pulled his shirt up a little where he had a compress on his stomach, which he loosened slightly so that Rick and Michonne could see what was underneath. It was a bite..Carl was bitten when he saved Siddiq in the forest...
"Carl..." came from Rick while his eyes filled with tears. Rick and Michonne stayed with Carl until the shots outside could be heard more and more. "We have to go" Tara said after a while as the shots got louder and louder and then Tick decided that Tara was right and they had to go but they couldn't leave Carl alone so the others left and Judith was crying because she was with her brother But she didn't understand what was going on, so Daryl took Judith in his arms after Carl said something else to her.So the others went in the direction of Hiltop, where Rosita wanted Sophie to go back to Hiltop with her. As stubborn as Sophie was, she went with Michonne and Rick when they brought Carl out of the bunker and into another house and Sophie was fine with that Nobody from the Saviors came to them and so Sophie had her pistol in her hand that Abraham gave her when he was still alive and it is even the pistol that he took from Mike when Mike died after saving Sophie. As they left, Carl ran with pain and a high fever until they arrived at a house where they then went in where Carl was then laid on the floor by Rick before he then turned to Michonne and talked to her for a moment. "I love you dad.." came from Carl with tears while he looked at Rick who was kneeling next to Carl."I love you too Carl...so...so much..." Rick said with tears. Afterwards, Rick kissed Carl's forehead. Michonne wanted to go out slowly but Carl asked Rick to go with him which Rick didn't want but he left after Carl asked again.
"Sophie, can you promise me something?" Carl asked weakly as he turned to Sophie, who then nodded. "Please look after Judith, take care of her..." Carl said desperately. "W...I will. ." Sophie came sobbing. He then pulled her into a hug and Sophie hugged him. "Please survive, you have to grow up, but bigger and older than I was," Carl continued to say weakly while he also sobbed. Sophie then said nothing until Carl took off his hat and placed it on Sophie's head. "Take good care of it... it belonged to Dad... now it's mine, it made me strong... you're going to need it..." it came out weakly Carl to which Sophie nodded.
"Go to Michonne and dad...I don't want you to see this..." Carl continued to say. After a few minutes Sophie got up and went towards the exit. "Hey little kiddo..I love you...you're like my little sister.." came weakly from Carl. "I love you too," Sophie cried before she went out. When she was outside, Michonne and Sophie winced because Carl had shot himself. Michonne saw Carl's hat on Sophie's head and hugged her before they slowly walked with Sophie and Rick to Hiltop to Rosita and the others.
Timeskip 5 years:
It's been 5 years since Carl's death and Sophie took care of Judith as she promised, but of course she helped the group as best she could and she was closer to Rosita than ever before and Tara was getting closer and closer, even though Tara and Rosita had been there for about a year now Were in a relationship for 6 years. Siddiq the man Carl saved was now a member of the group and was a helpful doctor in Alexandria and also a good friend but Sophie didn't like him because Carl died because of him. Sophie is now 15 years old and really liked Henry, a boy from Kindom, even though they were both friends, she liked him more.
The bad thing that happened was that Rick disappeared and was believed to be dead when he blew up the bridge and everyone believed he was dead since he blew up with the bridge during the explosion.
