It was a normal day in Atlanta, Macon because a lot of people lived there. Many worked, children went to school, had fun or other things, but also many people were at home, including the Espinosa family. It was a family of three. Rosita Espinosa is the woman and Abraham Ford is the man and both of them have a daughter together named Sophie Espinosa. Everything seemed to be going well and this day was also very good, almost too perfect. Rosita, who was in the middle of making dinner, went into the living room for a moment because she was curious about what Abraham and Sophie were doing. When Rosita arrived she finally found a laughing little Sophie and Abraham tickling her off. Rosita stood there for a moment and watched with a smile the scenario between her daughter and Abraham and her smile grew when she saw her daughter and Abraham laughing. After a moment, Rosita started to say something. "I knew what was going on here," Rosita said with the same smile. Abraham let go of his daughter and turned to Rosita, who was standing there with a smile.
"She called me old and I can't resist teasing Soph," Abraham replied with a grin, whereupon Rosita shook her head with a laugh.
"But don't do too much, right?" It came from Rosita in an amused tone as she went back into the kitchen and meanwhile you could hear Abraham and Sophie giggling as Sophie hugged Abraham as he watched Rosita go into the kitchen.
"Like her father," Rosita murmured quietly as she stirred the food.
"You're the best," Sophie said happily and grinned as she hugged Abraham.
"Of course I am," came Abraham confidently and laughing before he hugged her too. The two of them joked around for a moment until Abraham sat Sophie down next to him and stood up. "I'm just going to your mother's, let's see how far the food is," he said with a smile as he looked down at his daughter.
Sophie looked at him too and after a few seconds she said something. "Okay, I'm really hungry anyway," Sophia said and Abraham smiled and turned on the TV for her because the family sometimes watches TV while they eat and then ruffled her hair before he went into the kitchen.
Abraham went into the kitchen and then hugged Rosita from behind while Rosita had the radio on and was listening to what was being said but looked at Abraham when she noticed him hugging her."Hey, is everything okay with Soph?" Rosita asked with a worried expression as she looked at Abraham who nodded and told her everything was fine which immediately calmed Rosita down. Rosita nodded in understanding but still seemed worried since her look didn't change. Abraham noticed this and hugged her more before saying anything. "Hey, what's going on? Soph is fine, darling, don't worry," Abraham said gently, noticing that Rosita still seemed worried about something.
"That...that's not it," he said hesitantly but also uncertainly. "Then what's wrong?" Abraham asked, waiting patiently for an answer from her.
"Something's not right..my feeling almost never deceives me.." Rosita said with concern when they heard on the radio that roadblocks were being put up after it was said that more and more people were behaving strangely and dead people were suddenly getting up again.
"Ok, that's strange. There's definitely something wrong," Abraham said seriously and he went to the window and after a few minutes saw a few dead people who got up again. He looked surprised but not shocked because it wasn't the first time he saw dead people since he was in the army and often saw dead people. It was the same with rosita because both of them are in the army and even worked together.“Honey, grab Sophie and put her in the car,” Abraham suddenly said seriously. Rosita looked at him for a moment before saying something. "What's up?" She asked in a worried tone and Abraham explained to her that there were a few dead people outside who got back up and so the news on the radio was true. It took Rosita a few seconds to realize what was going on. Abraham watched as Rosita went to Sophie and put a jacket on her. "Mom, what's wrong? Where are we going, I thought we were eating?" It came from little Sophie who was totally confused and didn't understand what was going on. After all, the family wanted to eat and suddenly they left the house without further ado.
"Nothing.. we have to go somewhere, darling," was Rosita's worried but also unsure answer because she didn't know where to explain to her 6-year-old daughter what was going on and Sophie probably wouldn't fully understand either. Meanwhile, Abraham went to the bedroom and quickly packed a few important things, such as clothes, food and drinks and, just in
And just in case, he had packed his and Rosita's pistol with him.
Abraham quickly checked whether he had packed the most important things while Rosita went with Sophie to the car to put Sophie in the child seat and then buckle her up before Rosita sat in the passenger seat and waited for Abraham to come. After a few minutes, Abraham comes out of the house and sits in the driver's seat after opening the door. Sophie looked at him with a smile before saying eas.
“Daddy,” the little girl said happily as Abraham sat down and put the bag on the back seat next to Sophie.
"Hey," Abraham said softly, trying to hide his concern as he looked at his daughter and buckled up.
“Is everything okay,” he then asked worriedly, whereupon he received a happy nod from his daughter. He then turned to Rosita who was sitting in the passenger seat.
"And with you ?" He then asked, still in a worried tone. Rosita nodded before saying anything. "Yes everything is fine" assured as she looked at Abraham who started the engine as he drove off hoping that nothing would happen to him and his family during the journey.
