Flashback from the end of the last chapter:
The car drove fast and soon they had left the area and were now on the street and Abraham looked out the window and you could see the buildings and there were walkers and corpses everywhere.
Rosita now drove on the road and set off with the others, no matter who, the main thing was to get away from here first was the motto.
Now:
A few months have now passed since what happened with Mike and now Abraham, Rosita and Euegene are no longer so strangers to each other, but they don't trust each other completely either. They still had the same truck that they had gotten from the military and were still driving around in it. Abraham drove the truck through the forest because they were in some kind of forest while Rosita sat in the passenger seat, Sophie sat in the back in the child seat and Eugene also sat in the back. Rosita was talking to her daughter when she noticed that Sophie's jacket was slightly torn. "Hey darling, your jacket is a bit broken," Rosita said gently, who had turned around during the conversation and lightly grabbed Sophie's jacket to look at it. Sophie looked as Rosita assessed the damage.
“Oh” was all Sophia said when she saw that her jacket was actually a bit broken.
"I'll take a look at it later, but you have to be more careful, understand?" Rosita then said with a laugh but also a serious tone, whereupon Sophie nodded. Abraham drove on for a while until Sophie suddenly said something. "Dad, there" Sophie suddenly said as she pointed outside and there were two people, a man lying on the floor and a woman trying to wake the man up. Suddenly a walker grabbed her shoulder but the woman quickly turned around and grabbed a rifle that was lying next to the man and hit the walker several times in the head, causing him to back away until he fell to the ground where the woman continued to use the gun smashed the walker's skull until it was just mud. "I hope you enjoyed the show, assholes!" The woman now called out to the truck as Abraham stopped the truck when he was just a few meters away and stopped.
Abraham decided to take his rifle and get out, which Rosita did the same and Eugene followed the two with his radio while Sophie was supposed to wait inside the truck because they didn't know whether these people were dangerous or not.
"You really have a big fucking mouth, you know that?" Abraham was now serious when he went to the woman with Rosita and Eugene. "What else do you have?" Abraham continued, a small grin forming as he said this.Abraham and the other two said nothing for a moment as they waited for the woman to answer. The woman looked at the three with a rather frightened look.
"Nothing, I have nothing, just this rifle," the woman said nervously as she answered.
"The same goes for him," she continued, pointing to the unconscious man lying on the floor. "Is that so? Well then that's fine, but you come with me, otherwise you'll die alone without anything," said Abraham, whereupon the woman agreed.
"Was he bitten?" Abraham now asked seriously and looked at the woman while he and Eugene went to the man. "No, he's not," the woman assured him, whereupon he nodded and, together with Eugene, carried the man to the truck and put him in the back and Rosita followed them with the woman. "What's your name? I mean, we're saving your asses here, so we can get to know your names, right," Rosita said seriously as she looked at the woman.
"Yes, yes, of course. So I'm Tara and he's Glenn," the woman introduced herself and then introduced the unconscious man.
“Okay,” Rosita just said, unimpressed.
"And you? What are your names?" Asked the woman who identified herself as Tara.
"I'm Abraham Ford, this is Rosita Espinosa and this is Doctor Eugene" Abraham explained and pointed out Rosita and Eugene as he introduced them while he hopped down from the truck bed.
Tara just nodded at that. Tara climbed into the loading area to the man who turned out to be Glenn and Rosita then closed the loading area of the truck while Eugene and Abraham got in. Rosita then got in too.
"Dad, are these people coming with you now?" Sophie curiously asked Abraham as he got in."Yes, these people are coming with us first, they don't seem to have anything so we won't leave them here," Abraham answered seriously but also gently as he got in and put his rifle to the side while Eugene also got in, whereupon Sophie nodded and shortly afterwards Rosita also got in and so Abraham was able to continue.
So the small group continued on, accompanied by Tara and Glenn. Tara was still sitting in the back and paying attention to the surroundings while Abraham drove but suddenly he stopped and 3 walkers were in front of the truck bed and ran into it as they tried to get to it.
"Hey don't shoot, under no circumstances," Abraham said loudly to Tara while he got out with a crowbar.
The walkers noticed him and let go of the loading area and went to Abraham, who was now looking at the walkers with a grin.
“Ah, look who we have here,” he grinned as he smashed the first walker’s skull in without any problems, which he also did with the second one. When the third walker went to Abraham Zi, he also looked at him before he hit another one. "Let's look at you, it's totally rotten, we'll manage that," came Abraham with a grin, who then attacked this walker with the crowbar. He didn't die immediately and the second time he stabbed him, the crowbar got stuck. Abraham then briefly turns to Tara. Hey, can you just give it to me?" Abraham then asked in a rather amused tone, whereupon Tara threw her rifle at him and he used it to smash the walker's skull in, which worked this time.
Abaraham then pulled the crowbar out of the walker with a little more force.
“Oh, there are also lamps in the back,” came Abraham and threw her rifle back to Tara, who caught it.
"What, what is it?" Abraham asked a little confused when Tara didn't say anything but just looked.
Tara looked at Abraham before she said anything.
"I've never seen anything like that before," she answered him honestly.
Abarajam smiled at Tara's statement and then said that she would have done the same.
"You smiled, you smiled when you killed her," Tara replied as they both looked at each other.
Abraham looked at Tara puzzled for a moment before fasting again.
"Well you know, I'm the luckiest man in the world," came Abraham again with a smile.
"Hey, how about we both get back on the car, we still have a few miles to go," Abraham continued and, when he was almost finished talking, went back towards the door of the truck, whereupon Tara Wiedee went to the loading area and got on. So they drove on and Tara also kept an eye on Glenn and hoped that he would wake up soon. The drive lasted a few more hours when Tara suddenly heard some noises next to her and when she looked she noticed that Glenn was moving.
