Sara

A scream flew out of my mouth, and my body jumped like if I had been electrified. His voice echoed in my head. I felt his presence in the dark, hospital room. Numbness overcame my body. My muscles ached when I tried to move my arms. As I sat up, I heard him whisper words.

"Worthless"

"Pathetic"

"Die"

"Why are you here?"

"Stupid"

"Soulless"

His words echoed in my head, and wouldn't get out. Soon enough, the words that scared me the most overpowered the rest.

"Papa's here" He laughed.

Luke

I jumped up, hearing Sara's scream. I ran out my bedroom, and to the living room. She wasn't there. I ran into every room in the flat, waking everyone up in the process. She wasn't there. I breathlessly sat on the edge of Calum's bed as he sat up.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"I-I heard Sara scream. I swear she was in here." I told him, rubbing my temples.

"What did you dream about?" He asked.

"Nothing. It was all dark. But I heard her scream, like she was screaming into my ear."

"Dude, she's at the hospital."

"I know, I know. I'm going crazy."

"You are."

"Oh, thank's friend."

"Haha."

"What day is it?"

"What time is it?"

"I don't know."

"It's 3 a.m. Luke! GO TO BED."

"Fine."

I sighed and walked out his room. I walked back into mine and the second my head hit the pillow I fell asleep.

"Luke, get out of bed." Mum yelled.

"It's saturday, Mum." I yelled back.

"I made pancakes."

I looked around and saw I was in my old room back at home. I jumped out of bed and ran to the kitchen. Mum had made pancakes and eggs. I grabbed the plate she was handing me and ate it all.

"Luke, dear, where is Sara?"

"What?"

"Sara. Where is she?"

"The hospital. How do you know about Sara?"

"Oh! There she is!" Mum pointed behind me.

I turned around and saw Sara. She was wearing a white Fall Out Boy hoodie and black sweat pants. Her hair was in a ponytail at the top of her head, and she had a smile that could brighten a dark room.

"Hey, Luke." She said, holding my hand.

"Uh, hi." I said back hesitantly.

"Wanna go see that new movie we've been talking about all month long? It came out today."

"Which one?"

"You know which one, babe!"

"B-Babe?"

"What? I'm not aloud to call you 'babe' anymore?'"She frowned.

"No, I mean, yes, but, wait. Why did you call me 'babe'?"

"Luke, you're so silly sometimes." She laughed. "So you want to see that movie or what?"

Suddenly, Mum and the kitchen disappeared. Sara and I were standing in a white room.

"Luke? You okay, babe?"

'Why'd you call me 'babe'? We're dating?'

'No, duh.'

"This has to be the strangest dream ever."

"What do you mean?"

"Nothing."

"Okay. So, do yo-"

"What about your Papa?"

The second I said those words the entire room started to shake. The white walls started to crumble, and show off the blood red sky behind it. The floor fell beneath us, and we started falling. Sara was uncontrollably crying, and holding a piece of paper.

The second we hit the ground, I woke up, my entire body as heavy as an elephant's. I screamed, probably waking the boys up. Calum ran in with a worried expression.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"Nightmare. Go away." I said, tears welling up in my eyes.

"Wha-Okay." He left the room and closed the door behind him.

I started to cry. None of what happened in the dream seemed to make sense. Sara and I were dating and living with Mum, and when I mentioned Sara's Papa, the room fell and we were falling down a never ending, blood red hole.

Wow. Nice imagination you got there.

But why am I crying?
