Luke

Sara won me. She really is a fast runner. She should look into becoming an athlete or something. Speaking of careers, that reminds me.

"Hey, Sara?" I asked her as she entered the living room with a small bag of crisps.

"Yeah?" She sat down next to me on the couch.

"Did you ge- what happened while I was gone?"

I was gonna ask "Did you get a job yet?" Since she told me she would while I was gone, but I figured I'd ask later.

"Oh! See, Jess, Houston and I went everywhere. They took me all over London. We went on the London eye, we went to see Big Ben, we-"

I zoned out for a while, and focused on Jess and Houston sitting on the other side of the room. They were in a deep conversation, Houston was blushing.

"Luke?" Sara waved her hand in my face.

"Huh?" I said, looking back at her.

"You alright?" She asked me.

"Yeah." I said, clearing my throat for no reason.

"Oh. Well, I was saying, I did get a job like you asked before you left." She smiled brightly.

"Really? What is it?" I asked

"I got a job as a model! Well, I kinda just have to maintain a blog and advertise various brands and stuff, but still. It's so cool! I made my blog website already, it was hard." She said.

"A model?" I asked.

"Yeah. I just said that." She said sarcastically.

I chuckled.

"What?" She said.

"Nothing. It's just, I can see you on the front page of a magazine some day." I told her.

"Why would you say that? I'll probably never get there." She looked down at her bag of crisps.

"Because, you're beautiful." I told her.

I could see her blush. I chuckled and stared at her. She truly is beautiful.

"No I am not." She said.

"Yes you are."

"They asked me why I had scars on my arms."

"They're battle scars. Plus, I think they're beautiful, too."

"How would you find them beautiful?"

"I have no idea, really." I scratched my head jokingly.

She laughed at me and we spent the rest of the day talking. Right before it was time for Jess and Houston to go, I made sure to thank them.

"Thanks again." I said, hugging them both.

"No problem. It was fun seeing my best friend again." Jess said, smiling at me.

Sara came running to the front door and jumped into Jess's arms.

"Promise you'll come back?" She asked her.

I could hear her crying. Houston joined in the hug, and I did too just because I felt kind of left out.

"We'll come back to visit soon." Jess told Sara as we all let go.

"Okay." Sara wiped a tear off her cheek and stood next to me.

"Bye guys!" Houston said, waving as he left.

"Bye, Sara. Bye, Luke." Jess said, waving as she left.

I closed the door behind them and Sara started crying. I hugged her and rubbed her back as she cried into my shoulder.

"It's okay, Sara. They promised they'd come back. They live in Cambridge, we could go visit anytime you'd like." I told her.

"Really?" She asked, looking up at me.

"Really." I told her.

She smiled and stopped crying. I wiped a tear off her cheek and she let go of me.

"I'm going to bed." She said, heading down the hall.

"Good night, Sara. Call me if anything happens." I told her.

"Good night." She said as she went up the stairs.

I yawned and walked into the living room. Calum and Michael were playing FIFA and Ashton was probably asleep. I sat on the couch and pulled out my phone. Since nothing important was happening, I put my phone back in my pocket and watched them play.

"I WON! GO MIKEY, GO MIKEY!" Michael did his victory dance.

"SHHH!" I shushed him.

"Haters." He pouted, sitting back down on he floor.

"Wanna play, Luke?" Calum asked, standing up. "I'm heading to bed."

"What time is it?" I asked, standing up and sitting on the floor next to Michael.

"I don't know. 11 or something." He said, giving me the controller.

"Oh." I said.

"I'm gonna beat you." Michael said, starting the game.

"In your dreams." I chuckled.
