"And then we send our remaining forces to surround the enemies from behind," Kheera concluded, placing a few miniature soldier figures on the map.

The King, Kheera, and I were deep in our strategy meeting, exchanging war scenarios to brainstorm possible tactics.

"And what about now?" I asked, adding more enemy soldiers to the board. "The enemy surrounds our soldiers again."

"Ridiculous," Kheera said in frustration. "Even all our enemies combined don't have an army that size."

"Agreed," the King added. "Counselor, this scenario is almost impossible."

"Almost, Your Highness," I reminded him. "Meaning there's always a slim chance it could happen."

The King fell silent, but Kheera, as always, decided to argue.

"But we don't have to anticipate the worst all the time," he countered.

"We don't have to anticipate it ," I replied, "but we should be prepared for it."

Kheera thought for a moment, then gave me his trademark look of irritation—the one he always gives when he knows I'm right—before turning back to the King.

"Thoughts, Your Highness?" he asked.

The King shook his head, looking like a confused child as he tried to solve the puzzle. "We need a couple of days, sir," he admitted, softening his gaze.

"Well," I smiled, "I am a generous enemy, Your Highness. I will hold my peace until then."

The King laughed, and Kheera, the ever jealous one, glared at him.

"If there's nothing else, we can adjourn the meeting," he said, his voice tinged with envy.

"Well, I do have something else to say," I announced, making him roll his eyes.

"What is it, Counselor?" the King asked.

"Not to the General and the King, Your Highness," I replied.

The King nodded and immediately removed his crown. I turned to Kheera.

"Easterners and their obsession with making me remove my badge," he muttered, taking it off and placing it on the table.

"What now?" he asked, visibly annoyed.

"Yashoda's parents are leaving town today," I informed him.

"Woohoo!" he exclaimed, throwing the miniature soldier in his hand into the air and catching it again in excitement.

The King immediately smacked his head. "I meant 'oh nooo,'" he quickly corrected himself.

"We saw your 'oh nooo,'" I said, exasperated. "Why do you hate her parents so much?"

"I don't," he replied. "I mean, her father's an idiot, but thanks to you, I'm used to idiots. And her mother? She's a nice lady. The only problem is I have to share my wife with her."
