Under the cover of night, a figure slipped into dark room through the window, their steps sure and steady, as if every corner of this place was etched into their memory. She reached for the switchboard, turning on a dim light that brought a faint warmth to the dark room.

Going near the table, the figure sat down with taking a photo frame that was placed there. Looking at the photo with such longing eyes a tear formed in the person's eyes.

It was Fumiko, waiting for Kakashi, hoping to make everything right between them. Looking at the picture she traced their faces with so much care.

Fumiko: *whispered to herself* i miss you guys so much. Specially you nii-san. I-I feel like i am failing everything. I have already lost a lot and i don't want to lose kakashi too. I will make everything alright.

Wiping her tears and putting the frame on it's previous place she looked outside the window. It was already midnight and he is still hadn't arrived. Fumiko perched on the edge of his bed, her fingers gripping the blanket tightly as she glanced around his sparsely decorated room. The room's barren walls and scattered belongings seemed to echo her turmoil. She'd spent the past hour replaying the argument in her head, her heart heavy with regret. She hadn't planned to sneak into his space, but the thought of waiting another day to fix things had been unbearable.

She glanced at the clock. He was late, as always. Her resolve faltered, and the exhaustion of the past few days began to creep in. With a sigh, she stretched out on his bed, intending to rest just for a moment. Her eyelids grew heavy, and before she knew it, she drifted off, the faint scent of Kakashi's lingering presence oddly comforting.

It was past midnight when Kakashi finally returned. The room was dim, the moonlight streaming in through the window casting a pale glow. He froze as his eyes landed on the figure curled up on his bed. His breath hitched for a moment, caught off guard by the sight of Fumiko.

She was fast asleep, her features softened in the quiet of slumber. Her hand was tucked under her cheek, and her brow, which had been tense the last time he'd seen her, was now relaxed. The sight stirred something deep within him-a mixture of guilt, affection, and relief.

Kakashi stepped closer, his movements quiet. He crouched by the bed, studying her face for a long moment. The argument from two days ago replayed in his mind, the sharp words and unresolved tension gnawing at him. He hadn't realized how much he'd missed her until now.

With a sigh, he slipped off his gear, setting it aside before crawling onto the bed beside her. Careful not to wake her, he wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her gently into his chest. The feel of her warmth against him eased some of the tension he'd been carrying until now.

Fumiko stirred at the contact, her brows furrowing slightly as she blinked awake.

Fumiko: Kakashi? *she murmured, her voice thick with sleep*

Kakashi: It's me *he said softly, his voice barely above a whisper. His grip tightened slightly as if afraid she'd pull away* You fell asleep waiting for me.

Her eyes fluttered open, meeting his gaze. The proximity made her heart race, but the comfort of his embrace kept her put.

Fumiko: I wanted to talk to you. *she said quietly, her voice laced with both hesitation and regret* About... us.

Kakashi's hand moved to her cheek, his thumb brushing against her skin.

Kakashi: I know. *he murmured* I'm sorry, Miko.

She shook her head, her hand coming up to rest lightly on his chest.

Fumiko: No, I'm the one who's sorry. I should've listened to you instead of being so impatient and putting the kids life in danger.
