Katie and Caitlin had planned on spending Christmas with Caitlin's family over in australia and Katie couldn't of been more excited to experience a hot Christmas. She loved the sun, so the thought of spending a few weeks off with caitlin, tanning all day and getting to know her family, she could not wait.

The night before they were set to leave both girls were finishing up the last of there packing, they had to leave early the next morning so they decided to try and have a early night, although that failed when Caitlin spent the whole night throwing up. Caitlin felt fine all day, it wasn't until her and Katie started to pack there bags did she feel off, she brushed it off thinking she was just excited. As the two got ready for bed Caitlin started to feel progressively worse, her stomach was cramping like crazy, she felt weak in her muscles and her body started to sweat, Katie turned to face her while they were brushing there teeth, noticing the sweat, "You okay cait" Katie asked as she gave caitlin a concerned look, caitlin tried to smile and nod, but as the cramps got worse she crouched down in pain, "Caitlin what's wrong" Katie asked as she sat caitlin down who was now crying from pain, "I don't know, I have the worst stomach cramps" caitlin said as she held her stomach tight, Katie assumed it was from her period, so stood up and went to get her some Panadol and a heat pack, but when she returned she found Caitlin throwing up into the toilet. Katie hated vomit, ever since she was little she couldn't stand it, as Caitlin continued to throw up she felt Katie's hands grab her hair and hold it up before gently rubbing circles on her back, when Caitlin finally felt well enough to sit up she turned to Katie, "Kates please go to bed, I'm okay, you hate vomit" Caitlin said as she placed her hands over her stomach again, Katie just looked at her, "don't be silly Cait" Katie replied handing Caitlin some medicine, Caitlin took it slowly and after awhile felt well enough to get into bed. Katie fell asleep quite quickly, Caitlin on the other hand tossed and turned still struggling with the worst cramps ever, just as she was drifting off to sleep she felt another wave of nausea, she immediately sat up, and ran to the bathroom, waking Katie up in the process, Katie walked to the bathroom and once again Caitlin had her head over the toilet bowl, throwing up. Katie instantly went over and grabbed her hair before getting down beside her and rubbing her back, Caitlin was crying out of sickness and guilt, Katie always talked about her fear of vomiting and whenever she was around someone who was throwing up she would leave the room in tears, "Katie, please, I want you to go back to bed, you don't have to see this" Caitlin said after flopping her body against the cold tiles, "Im not going anywhere" Katie replied kissing the top of Caitlin's head.

The same thing happened over 5 more times that night until finally the girls had to get up for the airport, Caitlin hadn't thrown up in a few hours, she still felt sick but not like she was going to vomit, "Caitlin we can just reschedule the flight for tomorrow, your not well" Katie said as she watched Caitlin get ready in pain, "I'm okay now it's just cramps" Caitlin said smiling before going downstairs, Katie made breakfast although Caitlin didn't feel like eating, worried that she would throw it up. When the two arrived at the airport, Caitlin was still struggling with stomach cramps, she had never felt like this before. As they sat at the gate waiting for there flight Katie watched Caitlin as she scrunched her face in pain with her hand over her stomach, "Cait, what do you think it's from?" Katie asked as she'd never seen Caitlin this sick before, "I don't know" Caitlin replied weak as the pain was really taking a toll on her, Katie just held her tight in her arms until they boarded. Before the flight Katie went and bought some sleeping tablets in hopes it would keep Caitlin pain free while on the plane. As soon as the plane took off Katie turned to Caitlin who was sounds asleep, her hands still tightly wrapped around her stomach though. Caitlin slept the whole flight, she didn't know weather it was from the tablet or the fact she was up the whole night before. She was woken up by the plane landing and before she could even look out the window her cramps were back, even worse than before, Caitlin put her head down in pain, Katie turned to face her, she put a comforting hand on Caitlin's back unsure on how else to help. Caitlin slowly got off the plane, her body felt heavy and her muscles weak, her stomach was in excruciating pain and she just wanted it to stop, while the two girls were waiting for there bags katie noticed Caitlin struggling to stand up, "Cait go sit down, I'll grab the bags and bring them over, call you sister so she's ready" Katie said to Caitlin who just looked at her, "I'm fine, I don't need to sit down" Caitlin snapped back, katie looked at her confused from the sudden change of emotion, "Oh, okay" she replied keeping her distance.
