Katie woke up feeling off, she brushed it off and began to get ready for training, when she stood up off the bed her vision went blurry and she immediately sat down, Caitlin was still waking up so didn't even notice Katie with her head in her hands. But soon Katie's vision came back to normal and she stood up again to get ready, she just assumed she was tired from all the travelling. She made herself and Caitlin a coffee in hopes it would make her feel better, although on the way to training things only got worse, she felt dizzy like her head was spinning, Katie's never been car sick before but all of a sudden every turn the car made her whole body felt it. Caitlin who was driving noticed Katie slouched in her chair with her head against the window, "You okay Kates" Caitlin said laughing at Katie's positioning, Katie just mumbled something back, trying to focus on keeping her head from spinning, Caitlin's smile quickly turned to a frown when she realised Katie's state, "What's wrong" Caitlin said concerned, "Just woke up dizzy, I'm fine" Katie said quietly still with her head against the window, "You sure you should be training than" Caitlin asked worried about Katie, "It'll pass" Katie said secretly wishing it would, Caitlin didn't reply just kept a close eye on Katie for the rest of the drive.
When they arrived at the training centre Caitlin got out and grabbed Katie's and hers bag, before looking at Katie who had stood up before quickly sitting back down, Caitlin ran over to Katie's side, "Are you okay" Caitlin asked dropping the bags to hold on to Katie's hands as she crouched down infront of her, Beth and Steph who were arriving at the same time noticed Caitlin holding onto katie who was pale and weak, "Yeh I just have to let it pass" Katie said leaning back in her chair until her vision came back and her head stopped spinning. Caitlin held Katie's hand tightly until finally katie slowly stood up again, "you sure your okay?" Caitlin asked watching katie walk inside, "Yeh all good now" katie lied as she didn't want Caitlin to worry, although Caitlin didn't buy it for a second, "Don't push to hard today yeah" Caitlin said before the two walked into the chill room, Katie just nodded and smiled before sitting down as quick as possible on the couch, Caitlin put down there stuff before going back over to Katie, although she was stopped by Steph and Beth, "What's wrong with Katie" Beth asked gesturing to Katie who's head was in her hands again as she sat weakly on the couch, "I think she's sick, I don't really know" Caitlin said watching Katie. "That's not good, do you think she should be training" Steph said joining the other two in looking at Katie from a distance, "No, but there's not a chance anyone can get her to take a day off" Caitlin said sighing, "Let me try to knock some sense in her" Beth said as she walked over to Katie on the couch and sat down beside her, resting her hand gently on Katie's thigh, Katie lifted her head from her hands to smile, "Hey beffy" Katie said weakly, "Morning Kay, you feeling alright" Beth asked as she noticed how pale Katie was, "Yeh just tired, you know" Katie said as she leaned back on the couch trying to stop her head from spinning, "Looks a bit worse than just tired, your pretty pale kay, I don't know if you should be training" Beth said as she examined Katie, "I'm alright, just need to get training started, might wake me up a bit" Katie said smiling brushing Beth off, Beth just sighed, "Katie trainings only going to make whatever's wrong with you worse, your allowed a day off, especially if your unwell" Beth said looking into Katie's eyes, "I'm not unwell, just tired, that's no excuse" Katie said as she slowly stood up, her vision went dark once again but she knew if she sat back down it would only make beth more worried, so instead she started to walk, until she fell into someone's arms, "Katie, what the hell" Caitlin yelled as she ran across the room to catch Katie after seeing her struggling to walk, when Katie's vision finally came back she was surrounded by all the girls, she sat up immediately, "Katie, your not training" Caitlin said sternly trying to sit Katie back down, "Yes I am" Katie yelled as she stood up to walk out, Caitlin grabbed her arm tightly and singled for everyone to leave them alone to talk, once everyone had left the chill room Caitlin spoke, "Katie, talk to me" Caitlin said walking Katie back over to the couch, "Cait we have training" Katie said trying to get out of Caitlin's grib, "I told the girls to tell Renae we weren't coming as your sick" Caitlin said sternly to Katie who eyes flashed with anger, "What makes you think you can make decisions for me, IM FINE, leave me alone" Katie yelled before walking out to the pitch, as soon as she got there everything went dark, Katie continued to walk in hopes it would pass, but when people started talking to her, her brain became fuzzy, "Katie, I didn't think you were coming" Renae said seeing Katie slowly walk over, "Katie, are you okay" Renae asked again concern in her voice, "Katie can you hear me" Renae said right before Katie completely passed out on the pitch, Renae called the medics over immediately, all the team saw it and ran over aswell, Caitlin who was taken back by Katie yelling at her, was still inside. She hated when Katie yelled at her like that, it really hurt that she could just yell at her when she's only trying to help. Steph noticed Caitlin wasn't with Katie and instantly ran inside to get her, when she ran in she saw Caitlin wiping her tears, "Cait, Katie's passed out, wait, are you okay" Steph asked after noticing, "What, where" Caitlin yelled ignoring Steph. Both girls than ran back out to Katie, both hopeful she would be awake by the time they got there. When they got to her the medics had put her on a stretcher, and connected her to a bunch of different things, Katie was still unconscious, Caitlin's tears began to fall again seeing Katie like this, Steph held her close as they walked with the medics back inside.
As they put Katie in one of the medical rooms Caitlin and Steph were asked to wait outside, Katie still hadn't regained consciousness, Caitlin broke down completely into stephs arms outside the door, soon after the rest of the team had met them outside the door, they all watched as Caitlin broke down, all of there hearts breaking. "She's going to be okay cait" Steph said as she held Caitlin close, Caitlin just cried until the door opened, "She's awake, although she's not talking, we need her to answer questions, is there anyone here who could get her to talk" one of the medics asked looking around the hall at the team, everyone just looked to Caitlin, "Cait you go in" Beth said to caitlin who slowly stood up. "I don't think she'll open up to me, she never does" caitlin said quietly, "If she's going to talk to anyone it's you cait" Leah said to Caitlin who just nodded slowly and walked in, Katie was lying on the table staring at the wall, the medics walked back out and left the two alone, "Kates" Caitlin said softly as she walked over to Katie's bed and sat next to her before holding onto her hand, "You scared me chick" Caitlin smiled at Katie who slowly looked up to her. "I'm sorry" Katie said slowly, "Katie, the medics need you to talk to them, answer their questions honestly, can you do that for me?" Caitlin asked as she kissed the top of Katie's head, "Can you stay" Katie asked Caitlin, "Of course Kates, I love you" Caitlin replied before going to get the medics.
"Katie, what we are about to ask you, you need to answer honestly" the medic asked, Katie slowly nodded as she grabbed onto Caitlin's hand tighter, "Katie, when was the last time you ate" the medic asked catching Caitlin of guard, she just looked down to Katie who put her head down, "Um, I don't know" Katie said quietly, "Katie we need the proper answer" the medic asked, Caitlin just froze, how could Katie be struggling and she had no idea, "Like 3 days ago" Katie said looking down, "Katie why aren't you eating" Caitlin asked feeling guilty, as she had no idea, "I'm just not hungry" Katie said still looking down, "Katie, until you get your eating back on track your not to Exercise, that means not football what so ever" the medic said sternly as he walked out to talk to Renae, Caitlin silently cried, "Katie, why" she asked, "Just drop it" Katie said not wanting to talk about it, "No Katie, I'm not going to drop it, I'm constantly worrying about you, you don't talk to me, I had no idea you were even struggling with food. I've been with you every second for the past 3 days and I didn't even notice you weren't eating, I'm a terrible girlfriend, I just wish you would talk to me, not shut me out like you do everyone else, Katie it hurts that you can just lash out on me, I try to help you, and you yell, it breaks my heart, please, please just let me in, don't shut me out and yell at me, I can't take it anymore Katie" Caitlin pleaded as she cried, Katie's eyes began to fill with tears, "It's just...hard, being under the spotlight all the time, with arsenal and Ireland, the media picking me out piece by piece, commenting on my body, It all just got to much, I'm sorry I didn't tell you, I didn't want you to worry, I had it under control" Katie said playing with her rings on her fingers, "Katie fainting in training because you haven't eaten in half a week, is the furthest thing from having it under control, I'm always going to worry about you, your my girlfriend, and I never know what's going on in your head" Caitlin said still crying, "I'm sorry, I don't know what you want me to say" Katie replied ashamed, "I want you to promise you'll talk to me, open up instead of shutting me out, I love you so much, I just want you to be okay" Caitlin said as he kissed her forehead gently, "I promise, I love you too cait" Katie said looking up to kiss Caitlin's lips softly.
Katie spent the next few weeks focusing on her eating, with the help from Caitlin, she was finally able to join training again, although playing in games was still a while to come. Katie didn't tell the team about why she fainted although a lot of them picked up on it when she didn't come to training for a couple weeks and when she returned she had a meal plan, no one said anything although when they found themselves eating with Katie, they always tried to make sure she knew they were proud of her. Katie had also started to open up to Caitlin, tell her all things going on in her head, and it helped, she found it easier to cope with all her thoughts that used to stress her out. Caitlin couldn't of been prouder.
