Caitlin had been wanting to invite Katie to Christmas with her family over in australia for weeks now, but she never found the right time to bring it up, and the longer she waited the more she overthought it. Katie had spent Christmas with her last year, what if she didn't want to go back, what if she wanted to spend time with her family in Ireland, she didn't want to force Katie or make her feel obligated to go with her, so instead she kept her mouth shut.

Katie had the best Christmas of her life last year is australia, and she wanted nothing more than to go back, she kind of assumed she would, but when it got closer to Christmas and Caitlin still hadn't asked her, or even brought it up, she started to overthink. Maybe Caitlin didn't want her coming, maybe she wanted to be alone with her family, but unlike Caitlin who just kept quiet, Katie turned her overthinking into anger.

One morning as the two got ready for an early training Caitlin sat up as Katie got out of bed, "Come on, we can't be late" Katie said giving Caitlin a kiss on the nose, "Ahh it's so cold, I just want to be in australia already" Caitlin said as she slowly got out of bed, little did she know that sentence broke Katie's heart, that was the first time Caitlin had brought up australia, and by the sound of what she said, Caitlin was going alone without Katie. "Uh yeh, it's pretty cold" Katie replied quietly as she turned around quickly to hide her teary eyes, Caitlin looked up to Katie after hearing her mood change, but Katie was already out the door.

On the drive to training Caitlin kept looking at Katie, she knew something was wrong but also knew how Katie was with her emotions, the more she asked the further katie would just push her away. As they arrived Caitlin turned to katie and grabbed her hand, "Are you okay" Caitlin asked looking into Katie's eyes, katie smiled although it didn't reach her eyes, "Yeh fine" katie said trying to get out, Caitlin just held onto her tighter, "Are we okay?" Caitlin asked slowly, Katie just forced another smile as she nodded before getting out and grabbing hers and Caitlin's bag, Katie gave it to Caitlin before putting her head back down and walking in next to Caitlin. As soon as they got inside Katie left Caitlin's side, when Caitlin noticed she tried to look for Katie but couldn't find her anywhere. Katie had walked straight to the bathroom, as she couldn't hold in her tears anymore, when she got there she wiped her tears trying to compose herself, that was until the bathroom door opened, Katie immediately put her head back down, "Oh Katie" Alessia said as she walked in and saw Katie standing with her head down, Katie slowly lifted up her head and smiled, "hey less" she said as she blink back the tears that were threatening to fall, Alessia could tell she had been crying, "Are you okay, do you want me to get Caitlin" Alessia said still standing at the door, "No, I mean yes I'm fine, no don't get caitlin, please" Katie replied quickly not wanting Caitlin to know, Alessia sighed, "Did you guys have a fight?" Alessia asked Katie who shook her head, "No, we're fine, just leave it" Katie yelled before walking out of the bathroom, Alessia left after her, she knew she had to tell Caitlin. She walked into the chill room to see Caitlin standing in a group looking around, Alessia walked straight up to her, "Hey less, have you seen Katie by any chance" Caitlin asked smiling although she still was looking around the room, "um yeh actully" Alessia said pulling Caitlin away from the group, "Did you too have a fight or something" Alessia asked Caitlin who shook her head, "No, not that I know of, why" Caitlin said as she grew more worried about Katie, "oh it's just, she was in the bathroom crying, I asked her if she wanted me to get you, and she said no than yelled at me and left" Alessia said as Caitlin just looked at her confused, "oh, do you know where she went?" Caitlin asked Alessia who turned around, "The gym I think" Caitlin thanked her before going to find Katie, she walked into the gym and saw Katie in the back corner sitting down with her head in her hands, Caitlin walked over and sat next to her, Katie immediately lifted her head up and smiled not knowing who it was that sat next to her, "you can drop your act" Caitlin said to Katie who put her head back down, "what's going on with you" Caitlin asked softly looking foreword, Katie's eyes began to water again, "Nothing Caitlin" Katie said louder catching Caitlin off guard, "why aren't you telling me?" Caitlin yelled ignoring Katie, "Because nothings wrong" Katie yelled again, "did I do something" Caitlin asked softly, Katie didn't reply, just looked down, "Kates, I'm sorry" Caitlin said not knowing what she did, "we have to go" Katie said standing up and walking out of the gym to the pitch, caitlin sighed as she stayed sitting trying to work out what she did, after a while she stood up and slowly walked out onto the pitch, Alessia was waiting in the chill room for Caitlin, when she got there she walked out with her, "Is she okay" Alessia asked as they began to walk out, "She won't talk to me, she says nothings wrong, I think she's mad at me for something" Caitlin said looking at Katie in the distance, "She'll open up, just give her time" Alessia said as they walked into the group of girls, Katie not talking to anyone, she kept her head down the whole session.
