Protective

Katie was the protective nature, if it came to her family, her sister, Caitlin and even the team, her natural instinct was to protect them. The whole arsenal team knew that, Katie had only ever said it in a jokingly way, but deep down the whole team including Caitlin knew if something was to happen to anyone close to her she would get involved.

So when Caitlin started to get abusive threats sent to her phone from a random number, she immediately hid it from Katie, she had to tell someone though, so the next training she pulled Steph and Beth away and told them, both girls held Caitlin close as she cried from fear, not knowing what to do, "What did Katie say" Beth asked knowing Katie would be furious, "I haven't told her, and I don't want her to know" Caitlin admitted looking down, both girls instantly knew why, "I don't know what to do" Caitlin said as she wiped her tears that just kept falling, "How about you speak to Renae, maybe we can get some extra security for you around games, she also might know where to go to for further help, we can go with you" Steph said as Caitlin just nodded. So after training that day Beth and Steph walked up to Caitlin who had just finished changing, "you ready" Beth said to Caitlin who nodded, Katie who was coming out of the shower heard and gave the girls a confused look, "ready for what" she asked as she brushed her hair, "Oh um, we, Renae wanted to speak to us, it shouldn't take long" Steph said thinking on the spot, Katie just nodded slowly not really buying it, but when she saw the 3 girls follow Renae to her office she assumed they were telling the truth, "So girls, what's going on" Renae asked sitting down, Steph and Beth just looked to Caitlin, "um, I've been getting some I guess threats sent to me, there pretty detailed and I was just a little worried, I was wondering what you think I should do" Caitlin said as she handed her phone with the messages over to Renae, "oh caitlin, these are terrible, I think we need to police involved, I'll sort it all out, and let you know more as it comes, but maybe stay away from your house for a bit, I'm sure some of the girls will let you crash with them" Renae said as she took photos of the messages before handing her phone back to Caitlin, "thankyou so much" Caitlin replied feeling much more relaxed about it all. As the 3 girls walked out they ran into Katie who was waiting outside the door, "Oh hey" Caitlin said to Katie who smiled and handed her her bag, "Hurry up, I'm hungry" Katie laughed as she started to walk to the car, "Oh um actually, Steph and Beth invited us around" Caitlin said making Katie stop. That was the last thing Katie felt like doing, "oh okay" Katie said seeing as Caitlin seemed so keen, "You wanna go home first and shower" Katie asked Caitlin who shook her head, "no I'm fine" Caitlin said as she walked to the car, trying to avoid her home as much as possible. When the two got in the car Katie turned to Caitlin, "what was the meeting about" Katie asked Caitlin who started to drive, "nothing" Caitlin replied looking forward, "so you stayed after training for a meeting about nothing" Katie laughed confused as to why Caitlin was lying to her, Caitlin just nodded, "No what was it actually about cait" Katie asked Caitlin who tried to think of something, "Just some new tactics, for the game on the weekend" Caitlin said still not looking at Katie knowing she would be able to tell she was lying, Katie just nodded slowly as she turned her head to lean against the window wondering why Caitlin was lying to her still.

When they arrived at Beth and stephs, Caitlin walked in, Katie slowly behind. "Hey" Beth said from the couch as they walked through the door, Caitlin smiled before walking over to Steph while Katie went and sat next to Beth, "so what was your meeting about" she asked Beth who gave the same reaction as Caitlin did earlier, "Nothing important" Beth replied focusing of the tv, "Like what" Katie asked Beth again, "it was just like a wellbeing catch up thing, I think she's going to do one for everyone" Beth replied thinking of something on the spot, "really cause cait told me you were talking tactics" Katie said looking at Beth who just lifted up her head to face Katie. "Oh yeh, that too" Beth said although Katie just looked at her, "What was it actually about" Katie asked sternly, "I can't tell you" Beth replied quietly looking down, " what, why can't you tell me" Katie said a little louder now, Caitlin and Steph heard from the kitchen and walked back out, "Because, it's not about me" Beth replied looking up to Caitlin and Steph for help, "Than who's it about" Katie replied looking up to Caitlin and Steph now, "Katie, not now" Caitlin mumbled under her breath, "It's about you isn't it" Katie said standing up looking at Caitlin who just looked down, " so you can tell these two but not your girlfriend" Katie said starting to get a little hurt, "Katie, just drop it" Caitlin said again as she looked up just in time to see the hurt on Katie's face, "Whatever" Katie said as she grabbed her keys and walked to the door, "Wait Katie, you can't go home" Caitlin yelled worried, making Katie turn around, "What, why" Katie said as she looked at Steph and Beth who just stood awkwardly in the living room, Caitlin just looked down again, "Look, there's someone who's been sending me some threats or whatever and they know where we live, that's what the meeting was about, Renae told us to stay away from our house until they get it sorted" Caitlin sighed still looking down, Katie just walked over to Caitlin and wrapped her arms tightly around her, "Why didn't you tell me" Katie said quietly to Caitlin as she held her tight, "I didn't want you to freak out" Caitlin admitted quietly, "I care about you, I wish you had of told me" Katie said as she kissed the top of Caitlin's forehead, "I know, I'm sorry" Caitlin replied looking up to Katie, "I love you" Katie said as she kissed Caitlin's lips, "I love you too" Caitlin replied before Beth spoke, "Well since we're having a sleepover, what movie are we watching" she yelled excitedly, all the girls just laughed before piling on the couch together...
