Part 8 Chapter 41A The Rescue

Moff Trevat Office

Moff Trevat had already completed most of his work and was therefore feeling exhausted from constantly working throughout the day. He was currently in his secretary's office chatting with his staff to pass the time waiting for the end of the workday. Although he was the leader of the Myto Empire, because he was used to working according to the working hours on Earth, he continued his habit here. He sat in a seat and engaged in various conversations with the people present.

Suddenly, a sign appeared on the display in the room, followed by an alarm.

"An alert? Distress signal on Elysia?" said a confused staff member.

Everyone looked at the display.

"Yes, it's a distress signal. Did a ship have an accident in Elysia?" said another staff member.

The chief secretary, Arkev Huis of Moff Trevat, quickly opened his terminal and searched for relevant information.

"Moff, the distress signal came from the Palpadia Empire, in its capital, Esthirant," Arkev said.

"What? Esthirant? Get more details!" ordered Trevat in a panic, he immediately stood up from his seat, and fear began to creep into his heart as he remembered Ira.

Everyone in the room quickly worked to gather information.

"Moff, Governor Ira's motorcade was attacked with a high-powered bomb!" said Arkev.

Moff Trevat immediately fell back in his seat.

"Any more details?" asked Trevat in a low voice, his face turning very pale.

"One moment, Moff, I'm searching. But the orbital assets supporting the mission are descending to the surface, directly to Esthirant, as well as the Gozanti cruiser used as a transport at Esthirant airport, which has also left for the scene." Arkev said.

"Alert fleet command. Prepare my Star Destroyer and Governor Ira's Star Destroyer." Trevat said.

Arkev's chief secretary and all of Trevat's staff searched for information about the incident. Meanwhile, Trevat, who originally had been filled with fear and worry, slowly turned into anger.

"Moff, the vehicle Governor Ira was riding in was hit by a massive explosion and thrown into a building. The building collapsed on Governor Ira's vehicle. But from the observation right at the time of the explosion, the shield of the vehicle is still functioning, although we can't know how long it can function because we don't know how much material buried Governor Ira's vehicle." Arkev said after a while.

"Is there no communication from Governor Ira's vehicle?" asked Trevat, whose face was a mixture of anger and sadness.

"Nothing, moff. Just an automated distress signal. But that indicates the vehicle is not badly damaged." Said Arkev, who was also a bit scared seeing the look on Trevat's face.
