Part 8 Chapter 47 Descent to Ragna

Star Destroyer 'Myto'.
Main Bridge.

"Moff, we have reached a stable low orbit over Elysia. Two carrack cruisers are rapidly approaching to join us." The XO said.

"Excellent. Plot a deorbit path to Ragna. We will deorbit as soon as the two carrack cruisers enter our formation and acknowledge the deorbit path." Trevat said.

"Yes, moff." The XO said.

"We should make an example if they oppose us." Trevat said.

"Like the Tarkin doctrine, moff?" asked the XO.

Trevat sighed deeply.

"Not really. Let's not inflict large numbers of casualties. Is there a target we can use as an example of what happens if they oppose us? Maybe a small town that is empty because it was bombed by Mu Empire." Trevat said.

"One moment, moff. I will search first. Near Ragna, right?" said the XO.

He then looked at a map scanned from orbit on a nearby display.

"Hmm, it looks like one of the cities that Mu Empire first attacked was pretty good. It was attacked so many times that everyone fled except the emergency services. When there were no fires there, the city was too badly damaged, and was still occasionally attacked by the Mu Empire, so it was abandoned in the end. That city is Alchor City, about 80 kilometers from Ragna." the XO said.

"If we use a turbolaser with a power set to 100-150 megatons, will it be visible in Ragna? Is the vibration not too dangerous?" asked Trevat.

"Even with 100 MT, the moff is very visible. The cloud from the explosion can rise up to 40–50 kilometers. When it comes to vibrations or earthquakes, they may not be too deadly because the origin of the vibrations occurs on the surface, not below the ground. But with a power of just 100 MT, the destructive power of the earthquake has reached tens of kilometers, close to 100 kilometers. Or do you want to reduce the power?" asked the XO.

"For the demonstration, use just enough. How many MT is the power setting?" asked Trevat.

"Maybe around 50 MT is sufficient moff. It has also produced a mushroom cloud of up to 50 km as well. It is clearly visible from Ragna. The tremors are also only enough to damage up to 30 km from the explosion point," said the XO.

"Ok, then, prepare a turbolaser to fire with that power. We will descend to a height of 500 meters. But give them the order to surrender unconditionally first." said Trevat.
