Part 8 Chapter 48 The Destruction of Alcor

Gra Valkas, City of Alcor
80 km from Ragna.

The city of Alcor, which was originally the place where the Gra Valkas troops were gathered before being dispatched to Leifor, is now just rubble. There were no more combustible materials in the city because everything had been burned to the ground due to the continuous attacks from the Mu Empire, which also attacked the emergency services, so there was no one to extinguish the fires that arose in the city. The city with an extensive harbor was completely destroyed. In the harbor, the wrecks of ships could be seen half visible above the surface of the water, having sunk in the shallow harbor.

The residents had been displaced for a long time, most of them evacuated when the city was first attacked by the Mu Empire, the rest evacuated gradually due to the continuous attacks. Meanwhile, the soldiers who had come to assist the emergency services had long since departed, assisting in the collection of corpses for burial in the mass grave outside the city.
The occasional sound of wind and something falling through the rubble punctuated the otherwise eerie and silent scene. The late afternoon with the light turning red made for a beautiful yet eerie scene.

Suddenly, from the direction of the city of Ragna, a reddish glowing orb of small size appeared, which quickly headed towards the center of the city of Alcor. The moment the ball of light hit the ground, there was a tremendous explosion that destroyed everything. The remaining buildings turned to ash and scattered in the direction of the shockwave from the explosion. Likewise, the ground, along with the corpses at the edge of the city, turned to dust due to the high heat from the violent explosion and simply evaporated.

The explosion caused mushroom clouds that soared tens of kilometers into the atmosphere, deep into the stratosphere, even approaching the Karman line. The shockwave also traveled horizontally for more than 10 kilometers, destroying everything in its path. Because of the explosion on the ground, in addition to the shock waves above the ground, there are shock waves below the ground, some of which travel horizontally and some of which head downward and later bounce and return to the ground. Hence, there was quite a powerful earthquake around the town of Alcor.

In the end, after almost half an hour and starting to see what happened at the center of the explosion, the city of Alcor is no more, in its place is a deep crater hole that is starting to fill with sea water. It seemed that water vapor was soaring up because originally the hole was full of extremely hot material, such as magma, and interacted with the seawater, causing it to vaporize some of the incoming seawater.
