26 Another Quest

Chapter 26

I woke up and launched myself out of my bed immediately. It was really early in the morning, and I was impatient to say good bye to Clarisse. By the time I had gotten out of my cabin, I could see a green light emitting from the attic of the big house. I hid in a tree near the sword arena where I had found Tantalus and Mr. D waiting for Clarisse. Currently invisible, I watched as Clarisse walked out of the big house and entered the sword arena. I tried to go father out on the branch I was sitting on, and leaned closer to the arena walls.

"Are you ready for your quest child? Who would you like to bring with you?"

"Actually sir, I would like to bring Caleb Hansen and Catherine Granger."

"Catherine is alright, but why Caleb Hansen?"

"They pertain to the prophecy."

"Then I allow it. Please go find them at once, and transportation off Long Island will be arranged."

"Yes sir, good bye sir." I quickly scooted back towards the trunk of the tree, and climbed to one of the lower branches. When Clarisse walked out of the arena, and I let out an obnoxious holler. She turned on her heel and ran towards the tree I was in.

"Who is up there?" She barked, while looking up straight through me.

I gasped, feigning shock, "I am greatly offended! You act like you aren't staring right at me!" She looked around, and I laughed. "I'm invisible, and why are you bringing Caleb and I?"

"Because the prophecy refers to you. The line 'fail without friends' satisfied?"

"Caleb is your friend?!?"

"What about me?" Caleb came walking right underneath me. "Hey, where's Cat?" He looked around, and I swung down and onto his shoulders, still invisible. He jumped and attempted to look back only to see no one where I sat. I laughed and twisted to charm, therefore becoming visible again.

"Hey Bae!" Clarisse do not tell him what it actually means or I will pulverize you with your own spear. She glared at me when I told her that.

"I leave when you two start getting mushy."

"'Don't hate us 'cause we're happy! Don't hate us because we're beautiful! Don't hate us if we make you smile, we make you laugh or we go the extra mile to make someone happy on a [insert swearword] day.' Just don't hate on me and my bro!" I yelled while laughing. (The quote is from a book called 'Harry Potter's Twin Sister' by @rainbowdustbunny she is one of my favorite authors.)

"Okay Cathy! Just keep telling yourselves that! And go pack, we leave in an hour!" She jogged off. The sun was just rising over the horizon.

"And off we go brotha!" We rode off into the sunrise with me on Cal's back laughing like a maniac.

I had this whole chapter written a while ago, like five chapters back, but it was on my iPhone on Notes, and then I dropped my iPhone in a toilet at school on accident, and I lost it and had to write this entire chapter again, which if I hadn't, it would have been a lot longer. So.... Sorry bye!
