Chapter 52

October passed rather quickly, and soon Halloween was here. Ravenclaw had beaten Gryffindor since they no longer had Harry to be seeker. In charms today we were learning Wingardium Leviosa. It was really frustrating because I was paired with Weasley. He couldn't pronounce it right for the life of him, and I almost got stabbed in the eye with his wand. He is a Ravenclaw, he should not be doing this badly on a first year spell. I do not know how many fudging times I had to correct him. Fudge nuggets. I am starting to sound like 'Moine.

"She's a nightmare, really! No wonder she hasn't got any friends in Ravenclaw!" As we were moving from class to class I heard Weasley make this remark. Immediately I knew it was about me. Tears sprung in my eyes and I rushed past, running into Cody in the process, and into a girl's bathroom. Once the tears were there, I can never stop them. I hate myself for getting so emotional over one stupid comment! I looked down at my watch. No way had over an hour passed while I was in here! Dinner had already started, so I would have to sneak back to my common room right now. Just as I walked out of the stall, a strange man with ragged robes and a crazed expression stumbled in. I heard a click that I guesses was the door locking.

"Hello little pretty." He grinned at me from the door. I did what any human would do. I screamed. Screamed and screamed and screamed until I finally had to take a breather. The doors burst open, and the man turned to them. I did not spare a second before flying into a stall. I heard a cracking noise when suddenly the stall came crashing down. I let out a screech before ducking and hiding in the debris. I could see the madman brandishing a pipe from one of the sinks. Cody took a running start and jumped, wrapping his arms around the man's neck. The wand was still in his hand as the tip went straight into the man's eye. Christian pulled out his wand.

"SWISH AND FLICK!" I performed the wand movement from under the wood. Christian copied the movement and actually said the correct incantation for once. The pipe rose from the flailing arms of the madman, and hovered in the air above his head. Everyone froze. Not a breath was heard as the pipe hovered in midair. A distant sound of a door slamming was heard and the pipe came crashing down. A few seconds passed before I pulled myself out of the wood.

"Is he dead?" I asked.

"No, I think he's knocked out." Cody's muffled voice rose from where he was pinned under the body. I was relieved, and didn't dare mention that I meant to ask if Cody was alive. Christian helped Cody out from under the man. The doors crashed open again, and Professor Snape, McGonagall, and Slughorn ran in.

"Heavens not another generation." McGonagall groaned and Snape sighed with an annoyed expression. "Horace please escort these three to the Ravenclaw common rooms." Slughorn nodded and walked out of the girls' lavatory with Cody, Christian and I following. The moment the door to our common room closed, we all collapsed on the floor laughing.

"Their faces though!" I managed.

"I wonder what McGonagall's words meant though." Christian said when we toned down to snickers.

"And Snape didn't do anything Death Eatery." Cody told us, frowning.

"Who cares? Besides we have Potions first thing tomorrow morning. I need my beauty sleep." I complained.

"You're twelve." Christian deadpanned.

"So are you, what does it matter?" I retorted before grinning and ruffling up both the boys' hair and skipping up the staircase of the Girls' dormitories.
