~Mariana's POV~

"Daddy, is Sammy coming over for the basketball game?" My 5 year old daughter Leah asked my husband, Nate. "He just texted me he was on his way baby love...why?" Nate asked picking her up, kissing her cheek. "I dunno, just wanted to know" Leah replied. "You talk about Sam an awful lot...do you have a crush on him?" I asked playfully.

Leah blushed, "nooo" she said bashfully. Nates mouth dropped, "you told me you didn't like boys, and they had cooties!" Nate said tickling the little girl. "Not Sammy, or you daddy" Leah beamed with her dimples, identical to Nates, shining bright. "At least she knows you don't have cooties" I said kissing Nate on the cheek.

"I think Sammy should be my boyfriend" Leah said like it was a huge debate. "Well...ask him when he gets here" I said taking her out of Nate's arms, to get her ready for the day. "Mariana..." Nate said like something was actually going to happen between the two. I giggled at his protectiveness. "Nate, she's 5, let her have her little crush" I said getting clothes out for Leah.

"But Sam's around all the time, what if she doesn't grow out of it. She'll be 15 and really wanting to date the kid." Nate said brushing Leah's dark hair. "She'll be fine, by that time she'll be dating other boys, and not even worry about Sam." I said as I watched Nate pull Leah's hair in a half up ponytail.

"Dating boys at 15!? I don't think so!" Nate said picking Leah up and tickling her, making her giggle. "Lemme get cute dad" the five year old laughed. "You already are doll" I said grabbing her and getting her dressed.

"Mommy, this outfit is ca-ute" Leah sassed. I couldn't help but giggle, and look at Nate's serious face turn to a smile. "Oh my goodness" Nate laughed going upstairs, kissing me and Leah on the way. "Do you want some lip gloss Le?" I asked quietly. "Yaas" she whispered excitedly. I reached for my purse, and looked for the tubes of lip gloss stored in the bag.

"Pink or clear" I said holding the sparkly tubes up. "Pink" she said pointing to the pink colored gel. "Kissy face!" I said unscrewing the cap. Leah puckered her lips and I put the gloss on her lips. "Perfect" I said closing the container up. "Cotton candy flavored too!" I said examining the tube.

She licked her lips, "mmmm, can I see?" She asked grabbing my hand, pulling me to the bathroom. I opened the door and lifted Leah up, so she could see herself in the mirror. "Thanks mommy" she said kissing my cheek. I heard Nate come down the stairs, I met him in the hallway. He had his jersey and SnapBack on, "you look hot baby" I whispered so Leah couldn't hear. "Your not to bad yourself" Nate said kissing my cheek.

I got up before everyone, because I never would have time to get ready if I didn't. "Daddy!!" Leah yelled when we all heard a knock on the door. "I got it baby gi- are you wearing lipstick?" Nate asked kneeling down to Leah's hight. "It's lip gloss" Leah sassed back. "Oh my- okay" Nate said shaking his head, and walking to the door.

I followed Nate and Leah to the door to greet Sam. Nate opened the door and said hi, I hugged him and said hi. Nate closed the door and then there was Leah..."SAMMYYY!" She said jumping into his arms. "There's my little angel" Sam said spinning her around. "I missed you!" Leah said squeezing Sam tightly. "You just saw me a couple days ago" Sam giggled.

"I know but I still missed you" Leah said beaming her cute little smile at Sam. He carried Leah to the couch, and I left them and Nate to go to the kitchen, to get some snacks. I came back in and saw Leah had climbed onto Sam's lap, and was snuggled into his arms.

"Leah, weren't you gonna ask Sammy something?" I egged on, while Nate gave me a death stare. Leah blushed and looked up at Sammy. "Uhmm...Sammy" she said batting her eyelashes. "Yes love?" He answered doing the same, "will you be my boyfriend?" Leah said looking down, then back at Sam.

"Of course I will cutie!" Sam said opening his arms, for Leah to hug him back. Sam pecked her on the cheek. Leah couldn't stop smiling the rest of the night 💕
