"She finally fell asleep." You say tucking a piece of your hair behind your ear, setting the bottle on the night stand next to your side of the bed.
You crawl in bed and pull the covers over you. Nate reaches out and pulls you into him.

You cuddle into his chest and start tracing the outline of one of his tattoos with your finger. You begin to hear cries coming from the baby monitor. Just as you're about to get up Nate slides the covers off his body.

"You get some sleep baby." He kisses your head and descends down the hallway.
You hear Nate's voice on the baby monitor as he tries to console your six month old. Trying to transition her into her own room was a lot easier said than done.

Nate soon walks in with Elle in his arms. "Babe, she needs to start sleeping her own room." You huff. "Baby, one more night. I don't want my princess unhappy." Nate says, placing her down next to you.

You look down at Elle's bright hazel eyes and her dark head of hair. She was the perfect mix of you and Nate. She had Nate's eyes, hair, and dimples, but her other features resembled you.

Nate slides in bed on the other side of Elle. "We made a pretty cute kid." Nate says. "We did, didn't we?" You smile. "I can't wait until we can show her the world and teach her things. Like how to ride a bike and how to swim."

"I remember when I found out I was pregnant and I told your Mom before I told you. I was so nervous when I found out because it wasn't something we had discussed. I mean we talked about it a little bit, but after we got married, we focused more on the house and our careers." You say.

Nate leaned down and kisses Elle's head as her eyes begin to shut. "When I told you, I remember you just stood there and looked at me and I thought you were mad. But then you came over and full on tackled me and covered my face in kisses because you were so happy."

"Honestly the day she was born and the day we got married were the two greatest days of my life." Nate says. "Awe, babe." You replied blushing

"I didn't know what to expect when she was born. I remember taking care of my nieces and nephews but, it's completely different with your own kid you know. Every time she cries it's like the olympics, trying to figure out what's wrong. I know it's hard for you because you stay home with her a lot and I just don't know how you do it all the time."
"Nate, I know I don't tell you this enough but you are an amazing father. Elle is lucky to have a Dad like you."

"Thank you baby, I wouldn't be able to do it without you." Nate leans over a now sleeping Elle and kisses you.

"Let's go put her in her crib." You say, picking her up slowly.
You and Nate walk down the hall and into Elle's purple bedroom. You lean over the crib and slowly lay her down, kissing her head lightly.

You lean back into Nate's chest as his arms wrap around your waist. You two stand there, admiring how beautiful your daughter is. He kisses the skin in between you neck and shoulder. "Let's go to bed, baby." He whispers.

You two walk out hand in hand back to your bedroom. You both crawl into bed and you cuddle into Nate's chest. "Goodnight baby girl." Nate says kissing your forehead. "Goodnight Nate." You replied.

Just as you were drifting to sleep another cry came from the monitor. "I got her baby, you're getting some rest." Nate said patting your side.
