|Casey's POV|

It was a gorgeous spring day, my boyfriend of two years Nate and I were walking on the boardwalk that overlooked the Pacific Ocean. It was probably one of our favorite places to go and just talk, we went here almost each weekend.

"It's so nice out today." Nate said as he admired the scenery. I nodded "It really is, we should've brought our bathing suits and went swimming." I said pointing to the beach goers.

"We could always skinny dip." Nate smirked.

"Yeah okay, in front of all those strangers." I said laughing.

We continued walking down the trail to what we like to call 'Our Bench' This bench has held some pretty significant milestones in our relationship, like where we had our first date and where Nate confessed his love for me. It was a pretty ordinary bench, but the memories it held for us were extraordinary.

We sat on the bench and sipped our water. We sat in silence for a few minutes, a silence that wasn't uncomfortable. We had grown to know each other inside and out that no moment spent together was uncomfortable, everything felt right.

I looked at Nate and smiled, he was just so perfect. I felt so lucky to have someone like him. I studied his facial expressions, for some odd reason he looked nervous and then he began to speak.

"Casey, so I just had some things on my mind. " he said turning to face me and grabbed my hand.

Now I felt nervous, was he going to dump me or admit that he cheated. This couldn't be good, he looked so nervous. Nate stood up, so I followed his movements.

"Okay, so you know the past two years have been amazing. I can't even remember life before you were in it. You have changed everything I know about life and myself, you have made me into the man I am today. I'm so lucky to call you my best friend and my soul mate. I want to be able to spend the rest of my life with you by my side, I want to wake up to your messy morning hair and that sleepy smile, I want to be able to be the father of your children, watch them grow and have babies, I want to grow old with you, I want to do everything on Earth with you and more. I'm so in love with you, it consumes me." Nate said as tears formed in his eyes, as they formed in mine. I knew what was going to happen.

Nate got down on one knee as I gasped. From his pocket he pulled out the box, the box every girl dreams of receiving from the man of their dreams.

"Casey, will you marry me?" Nate asked smiling up at me.

"Oh my God Nate, yes of course!" I said as Nate slid the most perfect ring on my finger.

Nate stood up and we kissed. Both of us were crying tears of joy. There was truly no other person I could imagine spending the rest of my life with besides Nate.

"I love you so much Nate!" I said smiling at my future husband.

"I love you more future Mrs. Maloley." Nate replied as he kissed my lips once again.
