at the party, music and neon lights filled the place, Sana was engrossed in her phone, waiting for Hyunjin to come. the more time passed, more Sana was worrying. "girly pop! he'll come soon, y'know how he is right? always late to important stuff." Yeji draped arm over older and patted her shoulder ressuringly. Sana nodded in little.

"listen don't fuck this up and act like a normie okay? i know how they look at you." Hyunjin explained as he tried to find normal jacket for blonde to wear, even tho they were in hurry.

"you shoud've not even invited me then." Felix mumbled, checking himself out in mirror in Hyunjin's clothes. finally Hyunjin found black zip-up hoodie, something that wouldn't be too big for younger. "there" he threw it on male who grabbed it without hesitation.

suddenly car beeping filled the neighborhood, Hyunjin rushed to window and called: "coming!" "who's that?" Felix asked out of curiosity. "remember guy at Minho's? uh the bartender." male replied, just to get a grin from blonde. "oh the hot guy i made out with." Hyunjin nodded awkwardly. "he's coming too."

when they left and sat in car, Changbin was looking at himself in mirror, maybe fixing his hair? Felix hopped in passengers seat and buckled up. "Hey big munchkin!" he said excitedly, making male's face slightly heat up. Felix knew the affect he was having on Changbin and smirked. meanwhile Hyunjin was focused on phone, reading Sana's spam messages.

finally reaching the place, Hyunjin noticed his friend group waiting outside, making him feel embarassed like a child, who's mom can't stop making him feel like "Mommy's boy". once Changbin parked car, Hyunjin got out quickly, smiling at his friends. Sana walked towards him and wrapped arms around younger, murmuring in low tone so only they could hear. "where have you been, babe?" Hyunjin thinned his lip, unfamiliar to nickname. "to get ready with my..."

he looked around, seeing Changbin and Felix lost in conversation just few meters away. Sana raised and eyebrow, glancing at others, she exchanged familiar reaction to Yeji before turning to face male. "uuh... friend? you're talking about Changbin and that rat followed y'all?" Hyunjin corrected with polite smile. "no i invited him."

Felix side eyed Sana, without her noticing.

all this time Felix was the friend Hyunjin was talking about?

Felix finally joined the group, his confident grin not faltering despite the awkward tension hanging in the air. Sana's eyes scanned him from head to toe, her disapproval evident. "So, you're the friend," she said, her tone sharp but laced with fake politeness.

Felix didn't miss a beat. "That's me. The rat, apparently," he replied, smirking as he tucked his hands into the pockets of the borrowed hoodie. His sharp retort made Yeji let out small laugh, while Hyunjin pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration.

"Felix," Hyunjin warned in a low voice, but Felix only shrugged.

"What? Just being friendly."

Sana rolled her eyes, clearly unimpressed, but Yeji, sensing the tension, decided to step in. "Alright, let's not waste time out here. The party's waiting!" She grabbed Sana's arm, gently tugging her toward the entrance.

As the group made their way inside, the pulsating music grew louder, and the neon lights painted everyone's faces in vibrant colors. Felix stuck close to Hyunjin, but his eyes wandered, taking in the scene. It was the kind of party he wasn't used to-polished, pretentious, and full of people who looked like they belonged in glossy magazines.
