Three months passed.

The air felt lighter these days. Spring crept in slowly, blooming on sidewalks and slipping through open windows. Felix hadn’t touched a pill since that night, and though the pull still lingered in the back of his mind sometimes, he was clean. The weight of that truth was both freeing and terrifying.

He attended therapy now. Real ones, not just quiet talks in Hyunjin’s bed or cigarette-fueled breakdowns. Actual therapists with notebooks and soft voices and gentle truths that didn’t always feel gentle. It was hard. Some days he wanted to skip, lie in bed, and pretend the world didn’t expect anything from him.

But he went anyway.

He was trying.

That afternoon, he sat across from Jisung at their usual coffee shop. The hum of conversation and clinking cups filled the space around them. Jisung stirred his drink lazily, watching Felix with curious eyes.

"So, therapy, huh?" he asked.

"Yes, every Wednesday and weekdays. It's hard but i have to." Felix sipped his coffee, soft breeze making his now longer bangs fall backwards. "Therapist's really nice, but makes me cry really easily."

"Ohh, those ones." Jisung hummed. "They're the scariest ones."

"I also told her about you." Felix smiled shyly, glancing at Jisung. "I'm shocked." Jisung answered, eyes wide. "Yeah, well i had to tell her how you never stopped coming to see me..." He took deep breath. "Even if i did things that made people run away."

"Should i take that as a compliment?" Jisung teased, laughing a little.

He couldn't lie, life felt easier, more bright. Cravings were still in back of his mind but he forgot to even think about them.

He was busy making friends, having late night talks with Hyunjin when pain was hard to bear. They fell into comfort routine, barely argued, only in teasing way.

Hyunjin also made new nickname for blonde.

Sunshine.

When Felix asked why that, Hyunjin just answered. "Because when you wake up you always smile for some reason, your hair has been blonde for so long... It's just beautiful."

When Jisung left, Felix decided to go back too, soft melody playing in his headphones, sky was painted in yellow and pinks.

His mind was racing, but not to bad thoughts.

When he walked into Hyunjin’s apartment, the older boy was sitting cross-legged on the couch, sketchbook open, hair tied loosely at the nape of his neck.

“Hey,” Felix said, kicking his shoes off quietly.

Hyunjin looked up, lips curving softly. “Hey, sunshine. How was coffee?”

“Good. Talked a lot.”

Felix sat down beside him, legs folding underneath himself. He rested his head on Hyunjin’s shoulder for a moment, the sketchbook poking his chest slightly.

"Can we order sushi today? I'm craving some." Blonde mumbled, playing the innocent victim role with his expression.

Hyunjin just nodded and mouthed okay, too focused on sketching.

"Can you take me somewhere?"

"Where?" Hyunjin asked. He frowned, surprised by sudden question.

"To Chan's..." Felix whispered, his voice barely available.
