The day after Merle's death was tense. The group was preparing for a fight, and they were gonna win.

They needed to win.

The group moved their vehicles to a hidden location, along with their stuff. Their plan was to confuse the enemy. Make them believe that the group abandoned the prison in fear.

Adrianna walked over to Daryl, extra arrows in her hand. "You know Merle never did anything like that in his life." He says as she approaches. A slight hint of shock and sadness laced his eyes.

"He gave us a chance." She gives him a small smile and reaches her hand out for him.

He took her hand and pull himself up. He missed Merle, he was an asshole and definitely not the brotherly type but they had a connection. One he could could only get from Merle.

They walked hand in hand into the cell block.

Rick looked at the pair and then to the rest of the group. "We're ready." He then sent everyone off to their positions.

Hershel, Carl, Beth, and Judith were outside the prison. Safe. Maggie and Glenn took the outdoor catwalks. Everyone else was inside the tombs, waiting for the fight to begin.

A while later a huge boom shook the prison.

The group looked to each other in concern, before hardening their stares.

They got this.

"They're coming in." Glenn said quietly over the walkie talkie.

Sooner or later, hushed whispers and footsteps filled the halls. The groups grip tightened onto their weapons. They were ready.

Adrianna grabbed a smoke bomb from a bag over her shoulder. She looked to Rick as the footsteps grew closer. With a nod from him, she threw the bomb out quickly before retreating back.

Gunshots began firing off.

The group ran out from behind the wall, everyone armed with a gun. They began sending shots at the governors group. This sent his group into a panic. People began yelling and screaming. At one point they were just shooting to shoot, the smoke filled their eyes heavily.

The governor rushed them out of the building quickly. They hopped into their vehicles as carefully as they could around the walkers in the field.

The group stood watching from behind the gate as they all stepped on the gas. "We did it." The vehicles drove out of sight. "We drove them out." Rick turns to the group.

"We should go after them." Michonne says.

"We should finish it." Glenn speaks up from Maggie side.

She looks to him in shock. "It is finished. Didn't you see them hightail it out of here?" She motioned to the path.

"They could regroup." Glenn pointed out.

"We can't take the chance. He's not gonna stop." Adrianna said.

"They're right. We can't keep living like this." Carol voiced her opinion.

"So we take the fight back to Woodbury?" Maggie looks over to Adrianna. "We barely made it back last time."

"I don't care." Adrianna says bluntly. She just wanted this to be over and done with.

"Yeah." Rick nods his head. The group knew they were going to be leaving for Woodbury. "Let's check on the others." He urged them into the prison.
