Two days after the accident the injured pair was feeling better.
Daryl took a seat next to Adrianna grabbing a plate from her hands with a grunt.
It was silent as the group ate their breakfast, the smell of eggs filling the air.
"Um guys." Glenn stutters out drawing attention.
"The barn is full of walkers."
Everyone's head snapped to his, staying still with confusion.
————————
"You cannot tell me you're alright with this." Shane says marching away from the full barn.
"No I'm not, but we're guests here. This isn't our land." Rick tries to reason.
"This is our lives!"
"Lower your voice." Glenn snips motioning forward.
Andrea pipes in. "We can't just sweep this under the rug."
"It ain't right not remotely." Shane begins to pace. "We've either got to go in there. We make things right or we've just got to go. Now we have been talking about fort benning for a long time."
"We can't go." Adrianna speaks up.
"Why Adrianna why?"
"Because my daughters still out there." Carol retorts.
Shane rubs his face becoming irritated.
"Okay I think it's time that we all start to just consider the other possibility."
"We're not leaving Sophia behind!" Rick borderline yells.
"We're close to finding this girl. We just found her doll two days ago." Daryl adds sick of Shane's attitude.
Shane laughs looking between the pair.
"Y'all found her doll Daryl. That's what y'all did you guys found a doll."
"You don't know what the hell you're talking about." Adrianna yells out.
"I'm just saying what needs to be said. You get a good lead it's in the first 48hrs." Rick tries to get him to stop. "Let me tell you something else man. If she was alive out there saw y'all coming all messed up, looking dead, geek ears around your neck she would run in the other direction."
This made something in Daryl snap. Running over he tries to swing for Shane as Rick and Adrianna come to seperate them. Stepping between the two she puts her hand on his chest pushing Daryl back.
"Stop." She says firmly. "He's doing this shit on purpose."
"Now let me just talk to Hershel. Let me figure it out." Rick tries to plead.
"What're you going to figure out!"
"If we're gonna stay, if we're gonna clear this barn, I have to talk him into it. This is his land!"
"Hershel sees those things as people. Sick people. His wife. His stepson." Dale steps in.
"You knew?!" Rick asks in shock.
"Yesterday, I talked to Hershel."
"And you waited the night?" Shane bites.
"I thought we could survive one more night. We did. I was waiting till this morning to say something but Glenn wanted to be the one."
"The man is crazy, Rick. If Hershel sees those as alive—." He's cut off by the Walkers banging themselves against the door of the barn making the group jump back.
