It was Adriannas first morning in the hilltop alone and she was already irritated. The community was beautiful and had tons of potential. As she attempted to find Ezekiel, someone informed her that he had left with a few others. They didn't have a clear answer as to where he went but she could surly assume it was for the saviors. She walked around the community and couldn't find Richard or Morgan either. All she wanted to do was have a conversation and convince Ezekiel, that's really why she was there. After a few hours, Adrianna finally had seen Morgan, he was talking to a young boy he had trained. As Morgan noticed her lingering, he walked over with an almost ashamed look on his face. "You went to see them right?" Adrianna questioned and Morgan knew who she was referencing.
"Yeah."
"Is that part of your deal?" He didn't answer and the red liquid pouring out of his ear made her scoff at him. "What the hell is wrong with you? You're bleeding." She said harshly. Morgan reached up to feel the blood and dropped his head. "They did that to you, you know what they are." She said harshly.
Morgan nodded. "I do." He answered nonchalantly.
"You know if Carol were here, she saw all that, if she knew about Glenn and Abraham." Adrianna took a pause. "She'd be leading us right to them, ready to kill them all." She explained."She would." Morgan agreed. "And that's why she left." Adrianna scoffed again at the man. She walked away and left the man by himself. After all this time, Morgan still didn't get it. This was the new world. If you want something, you fight for it. People are the real threat, not the dead.
Her angry footsteps came to a slow as she came across Richard with a bow in hand. "I'm practicing." He motioned to the target in front of him. "Gonna have to start using these more, the saviors are smart enough to know I shouldn't have a gun around them." He shot an arrow at the target. Richard lowered the bow and walked over to Adrianna. Her eyes were fixated on some crossbows they had on a table. "Morgan said you're an archer?"
She raised her head and nodded at the man. "Why?"
"Cause we want the same things." He replied bluntly. Richard picked up a crossbow and handed it her way. "I need your help."

Richard had explained to Adrianna that he had a plan. It was risky, but high reward. She quickly jumped at the offer, if it involved taking out any of the saviors, she wanted to be apart of it. He told her they had to do it outside of the walls so they left the kingdom together. They walked in silence for a while but Richard spoke up as they ventured out the trees. "They ride this road. If we see any cars coming, it's the saviors." The pair walked behind a broken down truck on the side of the road. "They've been coming in packs of two or three lately. That's why I need you, I can't take them alone." He placed his bag down and pulled two guns out. Handing one to Adrianna he continued. "We're gonna hit them with guns first, then the molotovs, then the guns again until they're dead."
"Why the fire?" Adrianna asked as she checked the guns chamber before swinging it over her shoulder to join the crossbow.
"It needs to look bad. The saviors who discover what's left, I want them to be angry." Richard explained. "I left a trail from the weapons cache I planted to the cabin of someone Ezekiel cares about." Adrianna scrunched her eyebrows as Richard zipped his bag shut. "Who's that?" He threw his bag down next to hers and answered. "Just some loner he met. Sometime he brings food." Richard shrugged. "Why don't they live in the kingdom?" Richard shrugged again at her question. "I don't know. She lives out there, she'll die out there."
It can't be.
"It's a woman?" Adrianna asked. If it was Carol she needed to know. "Does it matter? She's gonna die either way." Richard responded. "When the saviors come and find their buddies dead, they're gonna go to the weapon chache and then to the cabin, and they're gonna attack that woman."
