The next morning the small group from yesterday met up again. "Take your pick." Carol said unwrapping a few guns from a cloth. She motioned for Daryl to grab one first but she stopped when she noticed his hesitant expression.
"Look we've been thinking." He looked over to Adrianna to make sure she hasn't changed her mind. When she nodded he continued. "Do we really need these?" Carol and Rick crunched their eyebrows at the couple. "I mean, things go bad, sure. We do what we gotta do, but it's like you said we don't need these for that."
Carol cut in quickly. "Right now we don't."
"You wanted us to try, right?" Adrianna asked and then looked to the guns as they glistened under the sun. "We're good." Her and Daryl took a step back as Carol handed Rick the guns for him to choose.
Adrianna genuinely wanted to try. No guns, no violence, but something in the back of her mind kept tugging at her. The feeling of the place being unsafe stayed as her main idea. Anyone and anything could get in, it was just a matter of time before that happened, and the people inside aren't prepared for anything. The community inside was damaged and Adrianna could see that, most people were weak, crazy, and simpleminded. They needed to face the real world before it was too late and something too big and dangerous came along.

It was later in the day and everyone was going off on their jobs. Daryl went off after their meeting with Aaron to start recruiting and Adrianna was about to take off on a run.
She passed a gun over to Noah before shoved on Eugene's way. "No thank you." He shook his head. Her arm stayed raised as she shook the gun his direction again. "Just take it." Noah urged. The same still and nervous look stayed on Eugene's face and Adrianna sighed out. "Come on, you gotta protect yourself." She was getting impatient now.
"Not if I don't go." He said confidently.
"We're not driving all that way so we can just drive back with the wrong shit." Aiden said as he walked over to the garage.
"It's a dozen of these." Eugene grabbed a black electrical box and held it up to the group. "They are consistent in appearance across manufacturers. The shit will be right." He kept fighting to go with. "I will install said shit. Then the grid will be fully operational again." The looks from everyone told him everything he needed to know. He definitely was still going.
Adrianna shoved the gun his way again and he took it hesitantly. Once she gave him a gun she walked over to Tara to pass her one to. "I heard you talking to Holly last night, what's her story?" She asked Noah as she took the gun from Adrianna.
Noah put a box down in the van. "Why do you ask?"
"No reason." Tara smiled brightly. Adrianna and Noah shared a look before letting out a hum of agreement and a small laugh. "It's an innocent question. Don't make me hurt you guys." Tara joked as she poked at the two who were laughing at her.
"Daylights burning let's go." Aiden called out from the front of the van.
Adrianna could notice the small hint of hatred that had been in his voice since they met. She was about to climb into the back before a soft hand pulled her back. The face of a smiling Diana made her stop. "I know I said it before, but thank you." She gave Adrianna a nod before she continued climbing into the back of the van.
"So seriously, what's her story?" Tara asked as they got settled onto the floor. Noah looked to her with wide eyes and a smile. He opened his mouth to speak but loud rave like music started to blare from the speakers. "Another mix." He yelled out from over the music with a shrug. Tara's jaw dropped and she looked to Adrianna and Glenn to back her up. Glenn smiled. "Helps draw them away." The sentence made them all share a laugh.
