"All right." Sasha's voice cut through the rumbling of the vehicles and groaning of the dead.

"That's twenty?" Adrianna asked.

"It will be, six forty two is a mile ahead. We gotta put distance between us and them before the turn off." Abraham turned his mischievous glare to Daryl and smiled. "So floor it."

Daryl gave a smile back. "All right, try to keep up."

"Have you looked at this car?" Sasha asked with a loud scoff at the men's activities. "Believe me, we want to get back there too." She finished and they let out a small laugh as they took off down the road.

Taking one last look back at the horde, Adrianna was surprised they were able to lead as many as they could away. Finally, they reached the turn off and started to speed up.

As they drove further away they drove into a small neighborhood that would lead them closer to Alexandria without any of the walkers noticing. Soft rumbling caught everyone's attention but before they could react four cars came barreling towards them. Gunshots rang out and everyone ducked the best they could as the group could hear the bullets whizzing by. Daryl tried his best to keep the bike steady but as a bullet grazed his arm he lost control. The couple fell to the ground and they were immediately met with pain as the gravel scraped their skin. Daryl pulled himself up quickly before turning to help pull Adrianna up. His eyes ran over her body quickly to search for any severe injuries, when he didn't see any he turned back to his bike. They hopped on quickly as they heard the rumbling of the cars appearing behind them again.

As one arm hooked around Daryl's waist her other arm reached for the gun on her side. She aimed it behind them and fired off a few shots. The pain in her shoulder made her cringe but it wasn't enough to stop her. She aimed at one of the cars tires and as Daryl made a sharp turn she shot one of the tires out. The car screeched as they attempted to get in control of it but it was too late, the car went crashing into an abandoned bus. Daryl hit the gas and drove the bike quicker out of the town. Adrianna tried to fire off another shot at the second car following after them but the gun clicked. They couldn't hear or see Sasha and Abraham anymore so they continued on their way and they would go back when they got the other car off their trail. An overly burnt forest was the only escape so Daryl pulled the bike into the black trees carefully. They stayed on the bike in silence as they waiting for the noise of the cars engine to drive past.

When the rumbling got far enough away, they changed positions and drove the bike to a more covered area in the burnt forest. Daryl turned the bike off to stay quiet and the exhaustion hit them hard. The couple dropped the bike lightly and dropped to the ground to catch their breaths. A loud growl from the side of Daryl made Adrianna shoot up and drag him towards her. A small breathy laugh fell from her lips as she saw the walker was stuck to the ground and wasn't able to move. She came to a stand and reached her arm out the sweaty man in front of her. "Come on." She muttered. He took hold of her hand and pulled himself to a stand. They rolled the bike further down a small path in the woods, once they were sure that the people who were shooting were completely gone they could get back on the bike and find Sasha and Abraham.

Adrianna reached for the walkie talkie and she prayed that it still worked. "Sasha? Abraham?" Her voice was tense as the other side stayed quiet. She sighed and reached for the red walkie button again. "You there?" She asks. They were met with silence and they both knew that the device was broken and wasn't going to work. It was up to the couple to find the pair with their own skills.

They continued rolling the bike and Adrianna could feel their hold on it falter. "Shit hold on." Daryl grumbled out and he dropped the bike to the ground as he winced in pain.

"Come here." Adrianna took a step closer and reached for his jacket. He pulled it off carefully and his graze wound was now on display. Crimson red blood fell from the wound and trailed down the man's arm. She grabbed a cloth from her back pocket and pressed it to wound making him let out a small hiss in pain. "Sorry." She whispered. The man waved her off. "Not your fault." He responded as she continued to clear up some of the blood. His eyes stopped on her shoulder and he could see blood lightly seeping through her shirt. "Sorry." He muttered out and she glanced at her blood stained shirt. She shook her head and the feeling of her busted stitches started to kick in. "Not your fault." She said back with a smile. A branch snapped from behind them and they turned towards the noise quickly.
